Yeah and I remember going to games when the Steelers played in Pitt Stadium. That was long before you were born young padawan. Bill Austin was the coach and we sucked.

My first experience with the Steelers are Bubby Brister and Merril Hoge.. I suffered until 05.

I remember when Bradshaw retired (I was just a kid) thinking who is going to play QB for us now?

Apparently I wouldn't get an answer until 25 years later......

Yes you may speak for me. I too remember the pain of the 68 and even worse 69 season (1-13) but then things started to look up. But did we and Chuck Noll had a tough time in his first year.

I honestly don't think people would really care. It would be totally different if the Cowboys had made it and we beat them, but for the most part the Superbowl takes over and defines the stadium its in that particular year, not the other way around. I honestly can't confidently recall where XLIII was off the top of my head. I remember that XL was Detroit but only because of Bettis winning there and Detroit being his home town.

It also would mean more if it had been our tying 5th or league leading 6th win. 7th is just another notch and doesn't really matter where we get it at this point.
