One OL in the first 3 rounds is enough, I mean jeez it may be in shambles now but we're not THAT desparate yet that we should have both our top picks be Olinemen in a draft that is relatively weak at OL nonetheless...

Not a personal shot at your mock but I just keep seeing a lot of people doing this and it annoys the helll out of me, I mean Starks and Colon aren't dead...

Won't happen because we aren't moving up to take Mike, Matthews is rated a lot higher than that and we don't need any more mid round CBs!

Chemistry and cohesiveness are huge factors on the O-Line. You can't have any better chemistry than with TWINS. Plus there's the Awesomeness factor.. how AWESOME would it be to have the Pouncey Twins anchoring the Steelers' line?

I'm not saying it wouldn't be nice but we aren't going to trade up to get him when I think he may fall either to us or past! :noidea:

Ballard will be gone way before that pick in the 3rd. Matthews definatly isnt as good as his brother but if we could get him in the later rounds i wouldnt complain. he definatly dosnt have the great pass rushing skills his brother has

wow... what are the odds of brothers having the same injury at the same time ?
i've been saying for awhile that he'd need a good senior bowl and combine to get into the 1st.

Pouncey: How His Exit from fhe Senior Bowl Hurts His Draft Status. Mike Pouncey was supposed to take part in this year's much-anticipated Senior Bowl, but a high ankle sprain has put the Florida guard/center on the shelf for the game and has left much disappointment amongst the NFL scouts.
Pouncey is a highly sought-after guard prospect and there have been many who are wondering if he has the ability to play guard at a high level in the NFL. Pouncey was supposed to use the Senior Bowl as a platform to demonstrate his ability, but now he’ll have to try his luck at the combine.
Hopefully he has healed in time for that, or he could watch his draft stock continue to fall.

Pouncey isn't even the top ranked guard in this draft and I just don't see us drafting him in round 1, let alone trading up for him. I'd like to get Derek Sherrod in round 1 if Adrian Clayborn or Brandon Harris are gone.

2011 Draft (Take 2)
Round 1: Mike Pouncey OG Florida--> would be great pulling guard and the chemistry with his brother he would fit right in. http://www.examiner.com/images/blog/EXID778/images/pouncey.jpg

Round 2: Christian Ballard Iowa DE--> with Aaron Smith and Keisel being aged it would be great to groom a guy like this so theres not a drop off with injury or retirement. over shadowed by Adrian Claybourn. good fit into 3-4 scheme.http://media.scout.com/media/image/84/847842.jpg

Round 3: Johnny Patrick Louisville CB--> yea yea i already know our luck with Louisville corners haven't been great (yea i'm talking about you Gay)but this guy is a good cover guy with great tackling ability. built like mcfadden but with better speed.http://www.nationalchamps.net/2009/sub/pics/small/louisville_johnny_patrick.jpg

Round 4: Casey Matthews ILB Oregon--> not as good as his brother, but with Farrior going on 37 next year we need to start thinking about the future at middle linebacker. Timmons has shown what he can do. I believe Casey will be able to fight Sylvester for the spot opposite of Timmons on the field.http://blog.seattlepi.com/seattlesports/library/matthews.jpg

Round 5: Greg Romeus DE Pitt--> i know what your thinking why do we need two D-ends in this draft? well i really do not have faith in getting Ballard in the 2nd. but, if we got Romeus this deep it would be great. It's very possible Romeus will fall this far because of missing all but 2 games this year due to a back injury. He was the Big East Defensive player of the year his Junior year and I think the steelers would be drafting a high caliber player.http://victordrazen.o3ms.com/nationalfootballpost.com/media_center/images/rendered/blog/wysiwyg/gr5.jpg

Round 6: WR Courtney Smith South Alabama--> with his great size 6'4, 225 this guy still runs a 4.57 40. Compared to Brandon Marshall coming out of college (minus the attitude problems) this guy can fill the Steelers void for a big physical receiver outside. They missed Golden Tate last year and this guy is 5x times better potential in my book. http://media.al.com/press-register-sports/photo/usa-2jpg-7a78b0bfbad1d4a0_medium.jpg

Round 7: Charlie Gantt TE Michigan State--> This pick is just to get rid of Spaeth. If miller ever goes down Charlie Gantt is a guy that can actually catch a ball. I have 0 confidence in Spaeth. Just look at the Jets game. Gantt is known for his blocking but is like a Nate Byham clone from pitt last year. http://media.al.com/press-register-sports/photo/usa-2jpg-7a78b0bfbad1d4a0_medium.jpg
