There are several posts on Jets message boards saying that the NFL wanted the Steelers to be in the SB all along and the game was fixed.

R u fukcing kidding me?!?!?!

I can understand the angry Ravens fans whining about this because Baltimore is pretty much a loser town but New York City is the #1 media market in the whole goddam world. Goodell would cream in his pants to have a NY team in the SB every year. And these fans are saying that it was fixed.!?!?

To call Jets fans morons are an insult to morons throughout the country.

Being a jealous loser is hard. Jet fans just need to vent. They're all huge talkers when majority probably started cheering on the Jets last year. Who cares about em.

I don't think Goodell wants the Steelers in the SB
Neither does Jerry Jones

You can't buy either off, they're both rich as ****. The fix wasn't in, no way in hell. If there was any fixing going on it'd be in the Jets favor and they probably know that too.

Maybe we should say the jets vs patriots was fixed because didnt they get their asses kicked by 42 points a few weeks earlier?

Its amazing how fans think the NFL loves the steelers when its obvious Goodell would sell his soul to have the Steelers be a losing team.

Shouln't it be the opposite? Look at how the NFL was ran this season! The fines, the accusations, the petitions. The NFL tried to take our bread and butter away from us MANY times this season and we STILL defied all their logic and made it to the big dance!

If anything, it's the opposite. I don't think the NFL wanted Pitt in there, but they should be happy! The Steelers bring in major money and major ratings to almost every outlet in the world. Pittsburgh/Green Bay is where it's at but the NFL tried to derail this football team this year, no question!

I think all the conspiracy theories week in and week out are really retarded.

Steelers did face some adversity, but I still don't believe a conspiracy for or against us.

what sounds more like a fix?

ben roethlisberger holds off a jets comeback with a clutch 1st down throw

mark sanchez throws for 3 touchdowns against the #2 defense in the NFL, leading the team to victory from a 24 point deficit

jets fans are delusional.

Thats a ridiculous thing. If you want to take 1 stupid thread that an upset fan made about their team and classify it as the fanbase i bet i can do the same to the steelers. The idea that a game is fixed in my opinion is stupid. However its not to say the officiating can't be bad. just like a player can have a bad day so can a ref. they are after-all human. But even that in its own should never be an excuse for a loss.

wait wait wait...let me get this right...the fans of a Team that won Super Bowl III when the other team was a heavy favorite...but their starting QB didn't come in til the Second Half...is now suggesting...that the AFC Title game in the 2010 season was fixed?

Really?

I mean...Really?

I'm sure you could find a thread about the first Jets/Steelers game where there was a really insanely obvious pass interference on a steelers reciever that would have been a touchdown and there was no flag.

Everyone thinks the world is against their team. I wouldn't be surprised if there were some news paper articles in new york saying the game was fixed. It's never just 1 fan who has a conspiracy theory.

Honestly the jets fans must be retarded if they think the NFL wanted to steelers to win.

Pittsburgh Market < New York Market

Do they not realize that New York City is the biggest market in the world thus higher Television rating. If anything the NFL and Fox would have wanted The bears and jets to play each other.

I don't even see what Jet's fans could complain about. In my opinion, I thought the AFC Championship Game was one of the best officiated games this season. Not too many bad calls on either team.

There will always be close calls that could go either way, and there were a few in this game (Sanchez fumble, Miller's completion, PF on Harrison), but they didnt' miss any blatant calls that I noticed.

Thats the society we live in. If you lose, its someone else's fault. Losers mentality.

It's stupid really. I am glad we made it as much as the next person but from a journalistic pov, the Jets are the better story in that they would have beaten all three top AFC QBs on the road and I would guess that this would be their first Super Bowl apperance since the Namath one. Let em whine I guess. We were the better team for sure.

Sporting events have been fixed before so it's not like it couldn't happen again. That being said, there's not a chance the NFL or anybody fixed the game IN FAVOR of the Steelers. The calls in this game were somewhat decent and there was nothing that stood out as "strange" in the game or in the whole playoff series for that matter. The ref's and the commisioner have been against the Steelers all year and that's a fact, just look at James Harrison's fine amount lol. They didn't just decide to "make" the Steelers win.

thats completely ridiculous.
Although i will say that Goodell was dying for the Jets to be in the SB. He certainly didn't want us in there....he has ruled consistently against us and this is a slap in the face to the things he's been doing to try and shut us down.
Its good karma, though, as he's one of, if not the worst, commissioner in all of sport history.
