Yep, pretty much...(lol). I sure hope we all like Santonio Holmes. No worries with Ben as our QB and his corp of WRs. Let's just hope our running game doesn't suffer.

Sorry just couldnt help myself! I liked their draft actually, filled a need and added a little depth for us to work on IMO.

I agree, we selected players that fit our needs. I felt like maybe a corner would have helped but we addressed our areas of need.

I liked the draft overall. Some picks I didn't care for. The OT from Hofstra and the C in the sixth round. But hey the Steelers made a bold move and got my man Santonio in the first. Picked up a good safety in the third with Anthony Smith in the third. Also Willie Reid will be El's replacement on punt returns. Harris and Jacobs were great value picks. Humes could be the power back in the future and he was taken in the 7th. Thought the Steelers could have spent some more picks on defense but oh well.

About the Steelers not taking a corner. Ike really came into his own last year. Townsend was resigned and is solid. McFadden had a good rookie year. I think the Steelers coaches are hoping that Ricardo Coclough has the same third lead that Ike Taylor had. Ricardo will be in his third year this upcoming year like Ike was last year.

As far as instatnt help, just one player, I didn`t want to look at it like you did, but you are close. I think we got rid of the 2nd round because we were being fruggle also

I think the reason it seems that way is because we didn't have any huge needs. We addressed basically everything we needed to and will probably pick up more undrafted FA's. Overall I'm happy with our draft.

Right on.. we had no glaring needs of players to step in right now and start..and we had alot of picks. Makes sense to package them together to get the best guys possible who can make the team.

We dont have many needs. Thats whats happens when you win the Super Bowl :). I feel that we got pretty much what we should have gotten. Obviously you can improve in places, but where we NEEDED players, we got them.

I don't know how I feel right now. There is a big part of me that sees it that way (one player draft).

I'm not sold on that FS. I think he is a project. The linemen taken I don't have a clue on. I really wanted them to grab Michael Robinson from PSU. I like the fact that we got Humes. He may be a big steal in the 7th.

The OL pick was Grimms pick and who Grimm wanted so you cant argue with that. It sounded like they had him pegged in the 4th and that is hwere we got him.

I was really hoping for M-Rob as well, but some of that was good old Penn State pride. The fact is, we got our Big-Play receiver (and KR) and an explosive punt returner. Robinson is good, but would be changing position - who knows how long it'll take him to adjust? The guys we got can be plugged in right away.

M-Rob's cannon arm would sure as hell be nice for those old Randle El pass plays, though.

Its you.

The Steelers drafted well.

But when you are the champs and have such a solid core, I can see how its hard to get players you think are going to start outside of the first couple rounds. The best of this draft wont be seen this year. And there is nothing wrong with that. Special Teams and Homes (in the slot) will be the impact.

Alot of us wanted Robinson, but we never saw him as a wr, maybe the Steelers just couldnt see him making the move
