The picture they use had me confused. Is she boiling peanuts or cleaning out a litter box?

I do like the first paragraph though:

"What do the spotted salamander, Camden Military Academy and square dancing have in common?"

Hmm...a bizarre and sadistic hazing ritual?

as if hurricaines werent enough reason. welcome to tornado valley :bouncy:. youre getting closer to the southwest though.

no tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes, blizzards, volcanos, tsunamis, etc. just 100 degree weather on a regular basis (with zero humidity feels like 85 in the northeast or southeast.) no wonder God loves the desert.

I live in SW Oklahoma. We get 100 degree weather all summer, and the tornadoes are just a bonus. My electricity just came back on about 30 minutes ago, knocked out by 70+mph winds. But at least we don't have to eat boiled peanuts.

whew, not enough mountains for me in the midwest (although we do get our "nasty" 40-60 mph windstorms in the springtime). the whole wizard of oz thing makes me think twice too. dustbowl? no thanks.

ive grown up spoiled where getting a sunburn is the worst natural disaster.

i would probably never last in the north. albuquerque is unbearably freezing for me in the winter. thats about as far north as i want to go. colorado springs winters are pretty horrid also

ive seen it all in the 2 months ive been here. 14 degrees. 90 degrees. dry. humid.
rain. snow. hail. tornado warnings. its never boring. the irony is that tornadoes just hit the area in SC we just left.

I use to live in North Carolina so I have tried the southern snack of Boiled peanuts. Really if you get them fresh they are pretty good. The ones you buy in a can at a store aren't that great. There was a Piggly Wiggly by my old house and a guy out front had a stand were he sold them.
