Here are a few suggestions:

What's the most outrageous excuse you've ever used to get out of work? Here's to hoping we won't need to use one!:tt03:

Unfortunately, I can't call out on Monday. I just got a call back to work from a layoff to report this coming Monday! :banging:

It wouldn't look good to call out my 1st day back. :chuckle:

I would have to call myself (of course at my age talking to myself is nothing new) and beg out of work since I am retired and work at home for my Web Design company. Of course that is money out of my own pockets that I really need, so I guess I can't convince myself. But I can start work at noon if I want. In my boxers. But that is nothing new.

I don't see why it's not worth a shot.

No, but if you show up to work on Monday morning wearing only boxers, I'll bet you get sent home. Problem solved!

Unfortunately I have class which I can't miss on Monday. Not until 10, though.

every year i save my last day of vacation for the day after the SB. its come in real handy for 3 of the past 6 years.

unfortunately, this week we have had the last 2 days and tomorrow off due to inclimant weather.

as the boss, i may (and probably should) have to go in on monday.

At my place of work, it's okay to take time off as long as you get the shift covered. My shift has been covered since 2 Sundays ago. Bingo.

shortly after Super Bowl X, a few friends & I bought a Steeler T-shirt for a well-built female classmate (11th grade) as a joke, knowing full-well it was WAY-TOO small for her ~ she wore it to school the next day, and got sent-home before classes began, without any of us getting to actually 'see' what she looked-like:
35+ years later, I still think about that quite-often...

I just wouldn't show up. They probably wouldn't even notice that I wasn't there. :chuckle:

I don't have class until Wed., so here's the deal:

We win, I'm going apeshit.

We lose, I'm going to Disneyland for a week and missing all my classes. And not even me running into Demi Lovato will cure the suck I'll feel.

HAHAHA! We lead parallel lives. My luck, it would be the ONLY day they'd notice.

Well my daughter (Steelers fan) gave me my excuse by getting into a fender bender yesterday. So, my lame excuse is, I have to go to the junkyard to get a new fender, hood, and what not.

dude, I feel for you. I might still be drunk at that time. A victory would make it a whole lot easier though.

I originally had Monday off, but somebody went on maternity leave and I have to cover for them. Funny thing is, my throat is starting to feel kinda scratchy...
