k. harvick anounced his 3 year extension yesterday and followed that up with a busch series win. im expecting him to battle it out tonight with stewart and biffle who has the pole. while gordon and earnhardt both have 2 victories on the track neither cracked the top 10 last year. jarrett has had success here and could be a suprise sleeper, but all in all, this is a track where the cream will rise to the top.

1. harvick
2. stewart
3. biffle
4. kenseth
5. martin
6. johnson

newman, kurt busch, kahne, edwards, and mears are all due for a rebound. 2-3 of these guys can easilly crack the top 6 and even win. when there is so many who can potentially win a race it makes for a great race. this is the last short track in fox,s half season so enjoy.

I am taking Harvick all the way in this one with Tony coming in a close 2nd

I'm only giving a top 2 this week because I just don't know about this race.

Tony Stewart
Matt Kenseth

I sure hope the Kentucky Derby is over by the time the race comes on 2nite. We're goin' night racin' in Richmond, boys! Yippee!

Well, Richmond is a short track, so look to all the usual short track suspects.

Stewart, Gordon, Harvick, Earnhardt, with Jeff Burton as a sleeper.

Interesting PSA with McMurray and Martin concerning Crown Royal...I bet that was part of the deal for them to come in as a sponsor.

Who did you guys start in our fantasy league?... I started Kenseth, Harvick, Dale Jr, and Jeff Green.

Who did you guys start in our fantasy league?... I started Kenseth, Harvick, Dale Jr, and Jeff Green.

stewart, harvick, burton, green so im expecting some bad luck for harvick.

Suitanim

Kenseth, Jr, Harvick, Riggs.

I'm going on a gut feeling with Kenseth on this one.

Suitanim
05-06-2006, 07:20 PM
Goddamnit! I decided on Kenseth like 5 minutes before the race over Johnson!

BB2W
05-06-2006, 07:20 PM
Green just spun, and Kenseth broke his oil tank... my guys never have clean runs. :banging:

Suitanim
05-06-2006, 07:22 PM
If they get that thing fixed under caution...no, this is a short track, there's no way he's going to make it back.

Suitanim
05-06-2006, 07:32 PM
Kenseth gets some help from LePage....still, he's gonna be down an awful lot of laps.

BB2W
05-06-2006, 07:47 PM
He would have had a good car today... stupid rotor. :pissed:

Suitanim
05-06-2006, 07:50 PM
Yeah, that sucks...he's 43 laps down as of right now.

If he gets back out there, with a few more wrecks and blown engines, he could end up as high as maybe 30th.

BB2W
05-06-2006, 07:51 PM
Thats all you can hope for. I'm used to it... one of my guys goes out early every week.

Suitanim
05-06-2006, 07:53 PM
Yeah, I've had a run of bad luck as well.

harvicks stinkin this race up. i dont believe theyll get to or through a green flag series of pitstops though or else harvick will have about a 7 second lead and put alot of cars a lap down.

tony hipchest
05-06-2006, 08:13 PM
wouldnt you know it. a caution under green flag stops. this is where rusty would have a great car, pit to early, and have his evening pissed away for the rest of the race. :dang:

Kenseth is 41st at the halfway point...not great for my fantasy.

On a more positive not, I was at this race a couple years ago, and it was a BLAST! Great sightlines, and I had a garage pass...I saw just about every single driver up close and personal.

tony hipchest

you rarely see gordon have this type of bad luck. you NEVER see johnson have it.

Suitanim

They don't even know what happened to it...JG came on and said it just cut off.

This is actually the most interesting time to have scanner access...there is a ton of chatter when they are behind the wall.

At least he got ten bonus points for leading a lap...

Gordon has a bad distributor, and they are replacing the plug wires. It's weird to hear them talking about parts that most cars on the road today don't even have...

kurt busch?????? :dang: nice multiple penalties there.

Gordon has a bad distributor, and they are replacing the plug wires. It's weird to hear them talking about parts that most cars on the road today don't even have... several dollar parts costing him tens, if not hundreds of thousands of $$$$$ in winnings.

points = $$$ especially when you barely miss the top 10. isnt he still racing for brooke?

I think he paid her off a long time ago...

tony hipchest
05-06-2006, 09:04 PM
suprised harvick isnt getting freight trained. thats one strong car.

tony hipchest
05-06-2006, 09:06 PM
I think he paid her off a long time ago... i forget how all that went down. i remember her wanting half of all furure earnings and him and his lawyers were like, its jeffs life on the line to earn that, not yours bitch. while i dont root for him, i root for a money grabbin draggon less.

Suitanim
05-06-2006, 09:14 PM
It was an interesting case...she won the lottery by hooking up with a driver (and you know the NASCAR girls are strictly prohibited from doing so), and hooking up with arguably the most marketable. He cheated, so, yeah, he screwed up, and she deserved some compensation, but his lawyers argued that unlike most cases, since the husabnd risked his life, she didn't deserve half. All that "future earnings" was crap, and she had no chance at it...

Then again, he was naive, and she took advantage of the situation and landed herself the ultimate MRS degree, so...

i cant believe they were at commercial when hamlin took the lead.

bye bye harvick. its one thing to dominate a race, a whole nother thing to win it. just ask biffle.

tony hipchest

:dang: jeff burton! that mistake of pitting too early cost me about 15-20 fantasy pts.

Suitanim
05-06-2006, 09:27 PM
Not necessarily...he's still on the lead lap with 50 to go.

Suitanim
05-06-2006, 09:29 PM
Except for Kenseth, my drivers are running 1,2 and 9...Damn! If I'd have gone with the 48, I could have maybe ended with a Helluva fantasy day!

tony hipchest
05-06-2006, 09:38 PM
Not necessarily...he's still on the lead lap with 50 to go. with 20 laps to go, its lookin like harvick and jr will have a hell of a battle for the win.

Suitanim
05-06-2006, 09:40 PM
ZAP! Riggs is probably out...there goes any chance at averaging out for a decent fantasy run.

tony hipchest
05-06-2006, 09:41 PM
in car cam shows vickers coming down on riggs. looks like a single file restart. this will be one hell of a finish.

Suitanim
05-06-2006, 09:45 PM
Wow...I picked Burton as a sleeper. I think every time I publicy opine on the outcome of a race, most or all of the drivers I pick have a ton of bad luck.

Well, the rednecks across America will drink a lot of Bud tonight.

I have a feeling all the white trash women in America are happy when Jr. wins...they know their husband/boyfriend will be so happy that they'll drink 40 Bud's and pass out on the futon instead of beating them up...

tony hipchest
05-06-2006, 09:53 PM
hamlin must feel like he gained about 3 years of experience. i dont think ive ever heard a crowd cheer so loud for a dale jr. win.

how bout them crown royal babes in victory lane?

no k. harvick post race interview? hmmm. i wonder why.

great race.
