an old school-buddy sent me this link to Smizik's column

when he was Governor of California, Ronald Reagan gave a speech at an event, and while leaving in his car, it was attacked by protesters:
one thug held a sign against the window of the limousine, saying "WE ARE THE FUTURE", so that Reagan and his wife could see it

without missing a beat, Ronnie grabbed a piece of paper, and asked Nancy for her lipstick, so that he could write a reply, which he then held against the window:
it simply said

"... I'LL SELL MY STOCKS..."

This was a real cluster f--k from he begining. The greed of the NFL and trying to feed Jerry's ego by setting an attendance record in his new toy sure backfired.
They knew about this problem in plenty of time to remedy it. Guess the NFL couldn't afford to pay overtime to get the seats installed. :banging:
