The Steelers very well might not of lost if Tone was in the house...........Just my 2cents.......

Unbelievable.........Where are we in time?.......The dark ages?......The Salem Witch Trials?...........I can't beleive it......It's 2011 for cryin out loud.................

What Bull shit................Its legal in a bunch of states.........Including the one I live in with a canabis card............

Come on man....Its 2011...........Tone got Ran out of town for some bullshit laws that need changed..............

I mean seriously, what music would you listen to if there wasn't weed?..........Some Clasical?......Opera?.......Definatly not reggae or rock and roll and hip hop............

It wasn't only because of the weed. Get your facts straight.

Read this for some more insight:

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/santonio-holmes-still-angry-still-doesnt-get-it-012111

Pittsburgh didn't ship Holmes out of town. Holmes punched his own ticket out.

I got no issue with your pot argument

So Sandoobio could have prevented that near sack on Ben to cause the INT? Could he have blocked Clay Matthews and prevented Mendy's fumble??????

Next......:coffee:

ray charles would be a great receiver because he smokes pot?

I'm all for legalizing pot and whatnot...that's great, but like you said, it's just pot. He can't wait till he's retired to toke up? Seriously?

He's a selfish asshole IMO. He was getting paid millions of dollars to do a job and all he had to do was be a great player like he is and not get high. Well done 'tone.

I was bored, and this was the best I could come up with to make myself laugh.......We should have little smiley(the little guys to the right waving terrible towels and what not) guys who smoke joints.......Also that would be cool to have ones that are charactures of past and present players.........More fun More fun.........

That's almost like saying that the Steelers lost because we don't have Cliff Stout or Chuck Yeager or Byron Nelson.

No way to ever make that argument stick, no one can tell what "might have been".

Jets lost with him who cares and they have the media darling who goes out with 17 year olds nows, named Sanchez the "great".

Of course the other side of that argument is that if getting high HELPS MAKE HIM A GREAT PLAYER, then what's the harm as long as he shows up when needed?

I think that Wallace & Co. will eventually become one of the best receiver corps we've had in quite a while. But I DO believe that things may have turned out a bit differently if we still had Holmes on the field.

Getting rid of Holmes was one of the few things this team has done that I really didn't agree with. By all accounts, the players liked him (some said they loved him) and it's unfortunate that his issues coincided with Ben's which put too much pressure on the Rooney's to do SOMETHING. And when push comes to shove, a WR is far more expendable than a 100 million dollar franchise QB, so what came next was a no-brainer --- assuming of course that they had to get rid of one of them, which I still think was just a political call to keep the Rooney's from seeming as if they were running a halfway house for wayward athletes.

I think the Holmes deal was more about not being embarrassed than anything else and I'm sorry but it HAS affected the offensive output of the team --- especially in clutch situations.

another one of these threads? lol
With "Tone", the Steelers still lose, easily (not to mention he drops as many passes as anybody...). QB off-day, turnovers, poor defense, stupid penaties, poor O-coordinator play calling, and on...and on...and on....along with a perfectly zoned-in Packers QB and psyched up team who wanted it more than we did...that all lost the game.

Two points that need to be made.

1. Santonio's gone and not coming back.
'2. The Steelers missed the playoffs entirely 2 out of the 4 seasons that Holmes was a Steeler. So apparently he wasn't the be all end all arbiter of a Steelers successfull season.

we should bring santonio back if he can play cornerback..:chuckle:

Meh I don't think so. The thing that worries me about Holmes is he looks on track to get thrown out of the league. He's been suspended 4 games and I still hear stories about him smelling like weed and hanging out with shady characters.

I saw a pic of him at the Pro Bowl with Ricky Williams and Michael Vick.

Bob Dylan is the man.

What does this have to do with the topic? About as much as it does the Steelers losing the SB because Tone was traded in the off season--in short nothing. (Bob Dylan is still the man regardless).

Don't forget: We had the ball with 2 minutes left, needing a TD to win
the game. Ben started off hitting Heath and Ward and then seemed to
be frozen on throwing to Wallace, who is still not a complete WR. Had
Tone been on the field, I have a feeling Pgh wins the game, just like in
SB 43. I really do. Put Tone on that field the last drive, and Pgh drives
for a TD.

He is a selfish, stupid dude for being so dumb to not quit toking until
his career was over. But, I still say they win with him on the field that
last drive.

We have no good possession receivers. maybe Sanders would have helped but he was hurt. Ward is too slow now. We were definitely missing a goto receiver on that drive. I love Wallace but he is not that type of receiver. He is not physical enough to outmuscle or outjockey a db.

I really think Sanders getting hurt screwed up quite a few things they wanted to do on offense. :noidea:

Marijuana should not be legalized, our country is dumb enough as it is. We don't need a bunch of potheads going to the voting booths. People like you certainly don't help the case, starting up a pro marijuana thread on a Steelers board.

i dont buy that, Green Bay lost Driver. Sanders had 28 catches during the season to Drivers 51. i would say they lost someone more important and still continued to move the ball

GB also has a better receiving core. :noidea:

I'm not saying this is THE reason the passing game did not click but Sanders seemed to one of Ben's favorite targets... and I'm not sure but didn't Nelson take over Driver's spot? That's not really a down grade.

EDIT: He was hurt before the game, too, so I thought he would have just about as much impact as Ward did in XLIII--who clearly didn't produce like he could have if he wasn't injured.

on the flipside- we missed the playoffs in 2 of the 4 years we had 'tone, which also happened to be 2 of the years ben put up his greatest passing numbers. :hunch:

i woulda rather had sanders in there on the final drive last weekend. dudes dropped like 2 passes all year and one only after being reviewed and overturned.
