Steelers' Bettis, LeBeau selected for Michigan Sports Hall of Fame

Former Steelers running back Jerome Bettis and defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau will enter the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame as part of a class of inductees that also includes former Michigan football coach Lloyd Carr.

The eight-member class was announced Wednesday.

Bettis' career included a Steelers victory in Super Bowl XL in his hometown of Detroit. LeBeau will be recognized for his accomplishments as a player with the Lions.

Carr went 122-40 as Wolverines coach, winning a national championship in 1997.
