On another note, good fight tonight on HBO at 9:45. Ricky "Hitman" Hatton (40-0, 30 KOs) vs Luis Collazo (26-1, 12 KOs). Hatton is moving up in weight to challenge the WBA welterweight champ. :boxing:

HBO is also showing the De La Hoya vs Mayorga fight. Mayorga who lost to De La Hoya last Saturday recently tested positive for a banned substance. Traces of the diuretic Furosemide, also known as Lasix, were found in his system. Diuretics are taken to lose weight quickly or to mask steriod use.

R.I.P., I have an aunt that lives in New Paltz, NY. I grew up in the town next to it called Highland, NY. I dont follow much boxing but what was the name of his son that boxed? I met him a couple times when I was growing up there. I think it was Tracy Patterson. Great family, he will be missed.

Rest in Peace! Farewell!

I think it was Tracy Patterson.

You are correct.

Wow, he was a great boxer...it's cool that his legacy still kind of carries on in games like "Knockout Kings". R.I.P.

I wish I could find it, but there is an incredible picture taken after Patterson knocked out Ingemar Johanson. Considering that it was 1960, it's a truly remarkable photo...it looks like a crane shot about 15' above Patterson's head, and he's staring down at an unconscious Johansen...it had to be taken within seconds of the knockout.

I like the photograph of when Patterson knocked out Clayton Jones...........

Good fight as expected. It was close but I think Hatton controlled the fight for the most part. I'm not exactly sure how Hatton will fair when he runs into a hard hitter though. Rumors are De La Hoya is debating on fighting Mayweather. All I have to say to that, good luck. Mayweather would kill De La Hoya.

Good fight on HBO tonight at 10:30. Marco Antonio Barrera (61-4, 42 KOs) vs Rocky Juarez (25-1, 18 KOs). Should be another good fight between the two power-punching lightweights. While I was hoping to see a Barrera vs lightweight champ Jesus Chavez (arm injury), I think this fight will be a good battle eitherway.
