"It's going to be an unbelievable challenge in front of us as well. But I think our guys kind of want to separate themselves. We have a lot of hard work and a lot of sacrifice and a big commitment we'll have to make to get it done. But I think we're all relishing that opportunity, and until we get knocked out of the playoffs next year or we don't make the playoffs, we're the defending champs." - Bill Cowher

So Holmes will be there? He is gonna miss some of training camp though due to OSU being on trimester right?

However, Ohio State's academic schedule will require Holmes to miss three valuable weeks of NFL indoctrination, forcing him to play catch-up when training camp starts in late July.

Because of an NFL-NCAA agreement, a college player cannot take part in NFL spring workouts until his college has had its graduation. Because many schools hold graduation in early May, most NFL draft picks are not affected.

But Holmes can't begin practicing until after the university's mid-June graduation. By then, the Steelers will have finished the 14 days of coaching sessions that follow their May 13-15 minicamp, which Holmes is permitted to attend. - PPG

Jemison has been stepping his game up big time, Wouldn't mind him being on the roster this season.

Steelers release running back Jemison
By The Tribune-Review
Saturday, July 1, 2006

The Steelers released former Pitt and Indiana (Pa.) University running back Mike Jemison on Friday.
Jemison, who signed with the Steelers on Feb. 17, joined the New York Giants as an undrafted rookie last year before he was released from that team's practice squad in September.

He spent this spring with the Hamburg Sea Devils of NFL Europe and led the team with 368 yards rushing on 101 carries and 18 receptions for 148 yards. He rushed for 1,767 yards and 14 touchdowns at IUP.

Thanks 83-Steelers-43. Why won't they let the NFLEL players into the roster? I noticed it too, but is there policy, or some kind of deal going on?

I think it's mostly because they oftentimes don't deserve to be on the roster.
