Yards per pass attempt has long been a standard for evaluating QB's in the NFL. Ben was the most effective passer in the NFL last year if you rank by "how many yards gained per pass attempt" or "how many touchdowns per pass attempt". Here are 5 top QB's in the NFL.

Another interesting stat on Ben is when the Steelers are losing from 9-16 points his passer rating was 123.70.

Yard/Att Rank TD/Att Rank
Ben Roethlisberger 8.899 1 15.765 1
Peyton Manning 8.272 2 16.179 3
Jake Delhomme 7.864 5 18.125 4
Carson Palmer 7.536 8 15.906 2
Matt Hasselbeck 7.704 7 18.708 5

Killer stats. Now I have something to throw back in the faces of the Drama Queen lovers when they start knocking Ben. Message to Manning. Leave all the pre-snap theatrics to teams that actually fear you.

Good indicator stat, Ben's stats were not real big because of the missed games and the fact that we run you to death when we have the lead.
