Cornhole might be something you could add the the "You know you're from Ohio if..." thread. It's pretty big around here, a lot of people play it. I've heard commercials on the radio for Cornhole tournaments. I've never played, but I think it's kinda like horse shoes.

Well that's cool and all, and I'm sure it's fun, but couldn't they have come up with a better name for it? I mean really... Cornhole? :sofunny: CYA, BB2W...(lol). In this instance, CYA doesn't mean buh-bye.

Hey, I know what Cornhole is...

Cornhole, or Corn Toss, is a game in which players take turns pitching small bags filled with corn (or beans) at a raised platform with a hole in the far end. A corn bag in the hole scores 3 points, while one on the platform scores 1 point. Play continues until a player reaches the score of 21. The platforms measure 4'x2' and are generally made of wood, although plastic can be a suitable replacement. The bags are generally 6x6", made with duck cloth, and filled with dry feed corn.

The game appears to have originated in Cincinnati, Ohio, and remains most popular there, especially on the city's west side. It is also growing in popularity among fans of NASCAR stock car racing, particularly those who camp at race sites as well as with college students in the mid-west.

It's a terrible name, but fun as shit. It gets it's name from the bags being filled with corn.

Correction:

Cornhole is a SOUTHERN Ohio thing. Not many people in Northern Ohio ever heard of Cornhole, let alone what a winning record is. It's something to pass the time since there's nothing else to do in Dayton. :busted: We have Browns fans up north to keep us entertained.

Bowling Green is about as far north as you can go in Ohio... It's played all over the state.

Bowling Green is a transient Southern Ohio school. :busted:

Go to other MAC schools in the state, they drink beer and cheer crappy teams, not play a game named after an anus. Suit is an Akron guy, I went to Kent State, I'm quite sure we can verify that BG is a bit more south than that.

Look, the joke is based on a double entendre...no need to try and dissect the semantics of it.

And as far as the "game" cornhole, never heard of it until a few months ago.

True story:

I went to tailgate with some friends in the Munci lot and there were some "real" hard asses there... every time they walked by they yelled "Big Ben blows! Pittsburgh sucks!". One real mental giant came by with a megaphone and repeated everything the other guy said. True comedy but I don't like to laugh at retards.

And by the way... I was wearing an orange Chad Johnson jersey. Not one of us was dressed in black.

Can't complain though, I was treated far worse in Michigan Stadium. This past year, I took my dad with me to The Game and I was in the corner of the end zone right above a section of students. I wore my AJ Hawk jersey but kept to myself throughout the game. Unfortunately, I sat right next to the aisle so I got hit by every elbow north of the state line so my dad didn't have to.

That was the subtle, weak stuff.

At the end of the game, I was talking to my dad about what a great game it was and I was punched in the back of the head. I turned around to see who did it and defend myself, nobody fessed up. A few more steps and I got punched in the back. Again, nobody wants to throw one while you're watching. Finally, I picked one guy out after it happened again and he complained to a cop that I was trying to incite a riot.

I'm looking forward to the next Game up North.
