I think it goes like this:

1. Santonio Holmes
2. Willie Parker
3. Willie Ried

I would go with Parker...Holmes...Reid...based on newspaper article this last year ..which stated "This is just another chapter in the legend of "Fast" Willie, a man who's been clocked at 4.23 seconds in the 40-yard dash"

I remember that at the beginning of training camp last year, Willie Williams had the fastest 40 time of the team.

Ike Taylor, Sean Morey, Chidi Iwoma, and Ricardo Colclough are among the fastest players on the team also.

"There is NO substitute for speed"

"Once he broke through, that safety didn't have a chance"

"That boy is FAST"

"I tell you what, for a little guy who's known for his Jets, he's running HARD!"

"That's gotta be one of the longest Superbowl runs. Marcus Allen, I think"

I hear all those things in my head when I talk about Willy Parker. I love the universal praise he gets from everyone immediately, like Jeff Fischer, who had to've been mindblown..... someone you've never heard of marching over you for 161 yds.

After that game Fischer said that Willie was the fastest player he's ever seen.

Okay from what I can find...

1) Parker 4.23
2) Taylor 4.24
3) Colclough 4.26
4) Holmes 4.34
5) Reid 4.34
6) Williams 4.37 (when he came into the league...probably considerably slower now)

I don't really care who is the fastest, as long as they do their job and get us to super bowl 41.
