Hello all. Finally decided to post after years of lurking. Just reacting to the cap space thread basically. Looks like they signed a potential DB in Macho Harris. He was with Eagles and Redskins for a little while I guess. 5th rounder. Seems people have considered him a bust thus far? Valuable pick up or just insurance?

another body for depth, and imo the cb battle for the #2 and below spots are up in the air. i hear he was a starter for the eagles in his rookie season so can't be that bad. i don't expect him to emerge as the nickel or #2 corner though.

I would imagine it would take him a while to learn the system anyways - ah who knows - any addition to DB corp is welcomed. The sky isn't falling for me but if we lose in the playoffs or SB to the likes of Gronkowski or Nelson I'll be lookin for heads! What was the difference with the 08 team? Just perfect storm or we made more game changing plays up front/middle that covered back end smudges?

Injuries to Troy P and Mcfadden might of played a minor roll, two interceptions and a fumble might have played a small part as well.

Very distinguished college career. Lots of interceptions, plays the run well, can play Free Safety, returns punts and kicks and is best suited as a zone corner. Still worth a look as a guy that can come on the more he is in the system. Wouldn't hurt to have him around.

yeah safety depth is a need imo. actually kind of surprised we didnt draft a safety in this last draft tbh. woulda really liked robert sands to be the heir to ryan clark, too bad he was picked up by the bungholes

Boy just checked out a youtube highlight of Macho man, unbelievable physical ability. Must have other weaknesses if he was drafted in the 5th round, but still based on the highlights I'd say Gay or Mcfadden couldn't do half of what Harris does in these highlights.

well the last Macho man crashed and burned. I expect a similar fate with this one.

RIP Randy

Apparently he hasn't signed yet and just visited for a workout :noidea:

I've seen him play live in Blacksburg. He was definitely baller has a Hokie. I'd love for him to make the team. He's very physical and has a knack for locating the ball but lacks speed. So pretty much a poor man's version of Ryan Clark but a better ballhawk.

No, I don't think I'll ever get over Macho Grande.
