Didn't really see anything impressive from our #1 draft pick last night. Of course i wasn't really watching him, I was watching our secondary. Anyone see anything positive from him last night?

He seemed quiet. I didn't really see or hear anything about him last night. It's OK. He'll be fine. He's still learning.

The Eagles mostly played to the right side, where Chris Ellis was, when Heyward was in from what I saw. But I still saw Heyward around the ball by play's end several times regardless. You generally don't "see" defensive ends in a 3-4 too often anyway. Quiet contributions. Of course, I'm sure Heyward feels he did "terrible" again.

To tell the truth, I didn't really see much push at all from the d-line, other than a couple from Keisel.

That will change once we run our real defense. We're just seeing the generic version during preseason.

I never see the defensive line getting a huge push. But they're not really designed for that

our DEs are more like DTs :P

the 3-4 is all about the linebackers, and of course we run a variation of the 3-4. The 3-4-Troy :wink02:

Yeah they are more run stuffers than big time pass rushers naturally in a 3-4.

Heward played his best at OSU in the games that were the biggest.............my guess he was another good choice by Steeler mgt
