Or PR people from studio who greenlighted this debacle just madly scrambling for ANY kind of publicity, good or bad for this POS?

Trust me, save your $9.25...I saw the trailer last week, and it looks like a complete rip-off of the original (which wasn't a bad flick). This is a re-make that didn't need to be re-made.

If you want to see the Omen, rent the definitive 70's version for .99 at Blockbuster.

Well my dad is a preacher so I agree the whole 6-6-06 thing is freaky to me as well. But I have seen the orginal Omen and I want to see the new one. I won't go on 6-6-06 though I think I wait for another day.

If you want to see the Omen, rent the definitive 70's version for .99 at Blockbuster.the original was good and a good book too. what sucks is the omen IV (which was made for tv) was very intense, well made and acted, had an excellent plot and the ending left it open for a great sequel. they shoulda spent the money on a good sequel instead of rehashing (popular hollywood trend due to lack of good scripts). maybe they were scared the omen V would come across as some type of freddy vs. jason type of movie, instead of the serious and intense natured reception it would deserve.

i kind of enjoyed the lady getting her eyes pecked out, the guy who ruined the idea of ever playing hockey on a "frozen" lake, and guy getting crushed by a train.

of course, my pastor doesnt think its a good idea to see this version

Yeah, I'm going to wait for DVD rental. That's if I even bother renting it.
