im expecting weekly favorites jj and stewart to struggle with such a deep starting position. martin has got to be the class of the roush camp with m. kenseth as a close 2nd. j. gordon could impress with a 3rd place start. he usually does well here and the less traffic he has to deal with the better of his car is. darkhorses include some savy veterans. rickey rudd has probably never driven a car as good as tony stewarts #20. b. labonte has always ran well here. and jeff burton could suprise. jeremy mayfield has been looking real good before races lately, but has a string of bad luck to shake. talent and a good car usually puts an end to bad luck. yeley and hamlin are the rookies to watch. both are capable of a top 10 at this track. 2nd year driver kyle bush had 2 2nd place finishes here last year. i will be watching how he makes his way through the field, especially with vickers being quickest in practice and gordon posting a good qualifying speed. im sure bush will be getting the exact same set up vickers had in practice.

1) kurt bush
2) mark martin
3) jeff gordon
4) ryan newman
5) matt kenseth
6) scott riggs

I'm taking a very different approach this week...Martin, Jeff Green, Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin.

Hey, i picked the drivers who i thought were gonna do well, so, no on Gordon...but then again, I've been off the last few weeks.

Even with a new crew chief and the defection of several crew members, he's always a threat to win at any track.

My man Jeff Burton is due, and this track is just about perfect for him to win on. He's really good on the tracks that are shorter than 1.5 miles.

He's really good on the tracks that are shorter than 1.5 miles. and he won the busch race. childress teams seem good at translating saturday wins into sunday wins. give us your top 1-5 or 6. i always hand out rep to anyone who can accurately pick the position of a top finisher.

3. Mark Martin
4. Jeff Burton
5. Jeremy Mayfield hmmm. i left biffle out of my top 5. :dang: realisticly he probably has a better shot to win than anyone i posted (except maybe martin). if i was putting money on it im thinking he may be the safest pick.

5. Jeremy Mayfield good job picking burton in 4th. and daleemnm was closest with the winner with kenseth in 2nd. (rep soon to follow). i got mopped up in fantasy by picking newman over johnson, and saddler over kyle bush based on starting positions alone.

i need no more further proof that kenseth and johnson are the ones to beat on any given week and the cup will probably come down to these 2. throw in tony stewart but his recent injury may complicate things. this is the time of year when he starts to get hot but he should be healed when he really starts to get hot. leveling out the points after 26 races will be the great equalizer. stewart and kenseth may have run their course of bad luck. we'll see what happens to jimmie, but to this point everything is going his way. jeff gordon must be beside himself.

My "assmove" wasn't that horrible...picked Martin who finished 9th over Kenseth who obviously won.

Now BBW's pick of Mayfield may qualify him for that trophy...

i think the trophy stays with me for another week. knowing kyle bush finished 2nd both times last year, i still benched him for e. saddler just cause elliot had a better starting position. :dang:

This was actually a descent race to watch. You just knew with 10 to go that Kenseth was just waiting to pounce on him!

What up suit?

What's wrong with Jeffy this year?

Suitanim

I wish I knew...I can say this much from listening to scanner conversations: I've heard Gordon say at least 10 times already this year "We killed it" after doing adjustments. LeTart is the polar opposite of Loomis, in that Loomis made the decisions and Jeff kind of argued his case, while Jeff basically just tells LeTart what to do and he does it.

Still, he can turn his season around...he needs to run well the next couple weeks at the intermediate tracks and carry some momentum into Infineon, Daytona and Chicago, 3 tracks where I expect him to do very well.

We've got a brand new car for Pocono - maybe it'll change our luck there.
Can't do any worse...
Pocono is a snoozer....bring back Rockingham!

Pocono and MIS are both tracks that deserve one race only...if that.
