Cant wait to see Cotchery get on the field, I think he can make a difference. Notice how many vets are not practicing but not injured? I know vets usually have a shorter practice week, not sure they dont need the practice after seeing them vs the sh#tbirds.

mcfadden sucks and if he can't even do a full practice, how about putting a 100% lewis in there?

I'd like to see Curtis Brown in there as our nickel or dime guy...what ya think? Looked good in preseason!

With Sidney Rice out, I'm kind of hoping that McFadden doesn't play so that Lewis can get his opportunity to see if he looks like a fish out of water starting in a meaningful game.

i believe Hines Ward was racing his 13-year old daughter so that explains that

What does Farrior's "Not Injury Related" status mean? Family issue?

Why do people keep saying that? He looked promising, really good at times, but he also helped make Mike Kafka and Chris Redman look like Pro Bowlers. He's going to take some time. People are going to have to get used to the idea.

who knows, mike kafka might be a pro bowler in the future. he's looked good in every showing he's had. just sayin'

also he won't ever be ready unless he gets some game experience, might as well start working him in sooner rather than later. he's got talent unlike gay and mcfadden who are average at best

Veteran's day off. Pretty regular practice for Tomlin to give guys like Farrior, Ward, and Smith days off.

Not when the bad is terrible and there is better or at least as good sitting the bench. I've supported the Steelers all my life but back when we had Chad Scott I called it like I saw it. He sucked and the situation with Mcfadden is the same. "Tro da bum out!!!"

It looks like Lewis may start and if he plays well, we might have a new starter.

BMAC is out but Gay is starting in his place.

See, that is a decision that I don't agree with, as much as I tend to 'defend' the decision of the front office and the coaches. It is already a known quantity that Gay is not an outside CB, and Lewis needs experience. One would be hard-pressed to find a better opportunity for Lewis to get some starting experience than the Seahawks at home without their best receiver. Why not start Lewis and bring Gay in for the nickel instead of moving Gay over to the nickel when he comes in so Lewis can play outside?

he could be in the proverbial doghouse for all his stupid penalties on special teams.

we had that young safety a few years back who showed all the promise in the world, but got ran outta town for the same reason.

Well then why put him in at Nickel.....For one I thought they liked Gay's intelligence and awarness in the nickel and second if Lewis isn't "smart enough" to play the outside then how is he "smart enough" to be in the nickel???

Gay was playing nickel when Lewis came in. I saw Lewis playing up on the line a handful of times, by the way. I thought that Gay played pretty well, actually, outside of one play. But, of course, he was playing the Seahawks.
