if anybody get hurt we're F@#$$$%%$%

Starting right guard Doug Legursky (shoulder) and starting left tackle Jonathan Scott (ankle) did not practice again Friday and have been ruled out for Sunday's game at the Texans. Defensive end Brett Keisel (knee) also has been ruled out.

Ramon Foster is expected to start at right guard for Legursky and Trai Essex at left tackle for Scott.

Reserve linebacker Chris Carter (hamstring) is listed as questionable. Receivers Mike Wallace (ribs) and Arnaz Battle (knee) and defensive tackle Steve McClendon (illness) are listed as probable.

I can't say this is the worst thing ever. I just hope we can get through ONE DAMN GAME without any more O-line injuries for once! :banging:

On the bright side the talent on this line is so mediocre there is no drop-off when subs come in

foster's an upgrade if they're looking to run the ball. legursky is a decent pass blocker but is horrible at getting any push on the d-line

Maybe they could slap a jersey on a Gatorade cooler and run it out there in a pinch? :hunch: :chuckle:

Someone will get hurt on the OL - count on it

Look for lots of blitzing and DL stunts from Houston

if they are smart that is what they will do. play tight on the WRs and blitz like crazy. it doesn't seem as if arians has an answer for it

Doesn't matter where Essex plays, if you're worried abut Mario Williams, they move him all over the fireld, he doesn't stay right or left side. Moves to his best matchup.

Nah, I'm a skinny dude and I have more trouble getting through one of those than defenders have getting through our OL!

Wonder if Ben is having trouble sleeping at night this week?

well - at least it can't get any worse. I think you'll see a little improvement with Essex. I think they'll play with a lot of pride. As far as Williams goes - he is gonna get his pressures/sacks - just not gonna completely stop him.

just maybe they'll keep a blocker in the backfield instead of leaving Ben by himself. and I don't mean Johnson

So - who would stay in and block? I think Kreid . . . oh wait. Oh CRAP.

We've known this since Monday...so what?

Essex/Kemo/Pouncey/Foster/Gilbert - - might be the best line we've seen all year.

Time for some trickery. Has to be the time to bust SOMETHING out on offense.

word is he only practiced in pads once this week, because according to league rules, teams are only allowed to hold one padded practice per week.

with the sissyfication of all practices im not sure there is anything anyone can tell about anyones physicality, as much as who is making mental mistakes.

usually with tomlin, if you can practice, you can go on sunday.

Don't worry, Tony. They have a back-up plan in case Gilbert can't go. :wink02:

Since Tomlin says Scott is the starter if he is able to play, I am not sure I am upset that he is hurt. Mario Williams would eat him for lunch. Why do they always seem to line Heath up on the right side of the line? He needs to be on the left side to help whoever is rushing that side with Mendenhall or Redman always in the backfield on the other side. Give Ben some time back there. Legursky being out is not really a bad thing either as he is too small to be playing that position. But the lack of depth after the starters is pathetic.
