Anyone else excited to see what Timmons can do coming off the edge. Neither Woodley or Harrison are what I would call speed rushers. I am hoping Timmons will fire up the pass rush. That is if he is not dropping into coverage the majority of the time.

With Foote and Farrior in, we have no choice but to drop him into coverage. I would like to see how he rushes, but I highly doubt he's a better rusher than Harrison. Combine that with Foote and Farrior in the middle and it looks real bad. At least if we had Worilds we could use him as a rusher and keep Timmons in the middle and Foote out of the game. I wish Tomlin would just start Sylvester, I am sure he would be out of position occasionaly but at least he is fast enough to cover a TE, unlike Foote who is out of place and can't cover anybody. Not trying to be negative, I just am horrified at the thought of Foote and Farrior in the middle, even against Hasselbeck.

All Tomlin needs is Smith and Keisel to start, he will be beside himself in glee

He's a better pass rusher than Woodley. I'm excited to see him.

The Titan TEs and Chris Johnson should have a field day if they get matchups against Farrior or Foote.

I somehow forgot about Johnson lol, yeah your right it could get ugly, good thing is that Johnson really hasent been himself so far this year. Lets hope Timmons can get in there to break some stuff up in the backfield, he has the speed to be disruptive.

he's a little light in the ass at 230 lbs to be bull rushing LT's. unless hes got one hell of a swim move or spin move he will be a 1 trick pony with a speed edge rush, which just isnt enough for outside rushers in todays nfl to consistantly be successful for the long term.

remember how greg lloyd got swallowed up and manhandled in the 95 superbowl? just about every LT is that big today.

He weighed 234 back when he was first drafted. I know he bulked up considerably in the offseason last year.

:applaudit: very good. :applaudit:

with all the credibility youve lost, its useful to post some citations so we all know you arent spouting off with some random, make believe, nonsense again.

well done. :drink:

at 250 he is much more capable of handling the role than in the 230's. i swear, when i see him lined up next to farrior he looks huge, like hes about 6'4" and 260 but he's still listed at his rookie weight.

i was kinda hoping worilds could play to see what he's got, but i may just work out better having the 2 veterans in the middle, leaving the door open for sly stevenson to showcase his skills in spot duty.

This will be very, very interesting. I have no doubts in Colbert's ability to spot OLBs, and Timmons might wind up being much better there than inside. If he lights it up, do you think anyone would consider moving Woodley inside?

He I'm pretty sure he played OLB in college, so that will help for sure. I dont know about moving Woodley inside, he has played outside in college and now in the pros, not saying it would be impossible though. If they were to move him inside it would be better to do it during the preseason.

Woodley is mainly a pass rusher and a run stopper, I don't think we will ever see Woodley in the middle, and IMO that's good.

His body size is really terrible for an OLB.

Maybe, but so is Harrison's. We've gone a non-traditional route outside.

I don't see how, are you saying he is too big or small?
