Atlanta Dan

Winning this game will not establish the Steelers are back on track for the playoffs but losing it will create major problems

Titans are a wildcard contender and a loss today means the Steelers would lose tiebreakers to Houston as well as Tennessee, effectively putting the Steelers 3 games behind the Titans

This could prove to be a good thing with our line situation....I am not saying that redman and dwyer are in no way better than mendahall. I am just saying that the running style of redman and dwyer is better suited for our line situation

Contrary to what other media are reporting, Bouchette says Mendenhall will dress

Despite a report you might have seen elsewhere, Rashard Mendenhall will dress today. However, the Steelers hope they do not have to use him.

http://plus.sites.post-gazette.com/index.php/pro-sports/steelers

Tony H. had posted the other day a report the Steelers might need to dress injured players to have a 46 player active roaster - maybe that is what is going on with Mendenhall?:noidea:

I really wish I had your optimism, but I see us getting waxed again. Nothing significant has been done by the team to address the lack of D line pressure or O line lack-of-stopping pressure.

The book has been written on how to dismantle the Steelers. If the Tenny-tits have read it, it will be a long day.

I HOPE I AM WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

How does everyone else feel about this game?

I feel hopeful that with Redman starting, maybe, just maybe, we can establish the run and cut back on the 5 wide slingin it all over the field that has resulted in multiple sacks, turnovers, and almost gotten Ben killed.

Although I know that in today's NFL, a team has to be able to pass, I just think the O line has to get back to run blocking and opening holes and keeping Chris Johsnon and Matt Hasselback off the field.

I would like to set up the pass by establishing the run instead of the other way around.

On defense, I am just worried that we are getting too old and a step slow. Tomlin is so loyal to his veterans. I believe the best, fastest, most physical players need to play no matter who they are.

Finally, its like Coach Cowher just said on NFL Today, when you win, your older players are experienced but when you lose, your older players are just old. Here's to being "experienced" today.

In case you didn't get to see it, Ben could barely make down the stairs to the tunnel and is moving very slowly during warm-ups.

I hope he is just accentuating it for the Tenny-tits so that they think he is really hurt.

gave up a couple of runs but picked it up just then, but the freaking penalties are killing us. That is a sign of coaching. honestly, that run with mendenhall probably would have been -1 because he would be dancing because the hole wasn't huge. Sometimes you gotta just jam it up in there and take what you can get. And that helps the O so much to have 2nd and less than 8. It sets up the big play.
