It all depends if Arians actually decides to keep his head out of his ass and continues to call similar plays like he did against the Titans. Or if he goes back to trying to force his preferences over the realities.

Although the Steelers were playing with a lack of intensity the first four games, I think the main problems were the personnel and the play calling. First of, it's hard to play with intensity, winning or losing, when you know your playing well under your potential. Seeing them play this week without Smith, Mendy, or Scott (most of the game), Keisel being back and the play calling this week shows my point. Hood played way better then Smith, stopping the run and allowing Woodley to get in more often. Keisel was big on the run stopping. And even with Redman not actually having a lot of yards, we were running the ball well, much better then any other game this year. Also, I had been saying that if we just got a good LT that our line would be a lot better, not great, but a lot better. Not only because there is always a free rusher running around our LT but also because our LG or C has to come over and help Scott all the time. Starks made a big difference. Arians' should have ran the ball more when we were up 18, at least until it stopped working, but overall he called a pretty decent game and most importantly, didn't call plays that exploited the worst part on our team which is the O line. I've said it a few times since this last game, it's up to the coaches as to how well we will do this season. We have the personnel to win games, the play calling CAN be good, and the team will play with intensity when they are not underachieving. Now will Tomlin play the right guys and make sure the play calling stays like this last game? IMO that's what the season rides on. IMO I think it's the difference between 12-4 or 8-8.

If I may use a Tomlinism - "We are a work in progress. It was a win no matter how you chalk it up. We'll take the W as we move forward to reaching our ultimate goal - and that is bringing home another Lombardi."

I'll be thrilled if we can build on the Titans performance. But at the end of the day, just:
