I wish Ben all the luck in a fast and full recovery. Hopefully he is back and ready to play quickly, and you guys don't lose a starting QB to something like this.

Thanks man. Alot of class shown by the rest of the NFL's teams fans in here today. Shout out to you all. I'm glad Ben will live but he shouldn't have been on the motorcycle period. The Steelers invested alot of money in him. Ride when your career is done. Its that simple.

I'm shocked I know I shouldn't be since I knew Ben rode motorcycles. But its still has a shocking effect on me.

You all too. I think Denver should be good, If they just can get it together in the playoffs. 13-3 12-4 don't mean squat unless you get it done in playoffs too.

Hey guys... checking in from Denver to get the latest news on Ben. Today's lesson is that personal freedom is fine and all that, and you can be as careful as possible, but you can't control what others are going to do, and I sure hope that's what Ben learns from this. When he gets back on that bike it sure better be with his brand new helmet on!

Hope his recovery is fast and uneventful. He's a great kid.

Ben, Ben, Ben! helmets are not for sissies.

Is he even out of surgery yet??

He shouldn't have been on the bike period. I can care less about the helmet. On a motorcycle you expose yourself so much. Its very easy to get a leg or arm ripped off.

Also, as a Dol-fan I'd just like to wish all you Steelers fans the best of luck with Big Ben. I hope everything turns out to be ok. I hope Ben wears a helmet from now on.

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that I was/am very sorry to hear of Ben's accident.

More importent than his playing this year for the Steelers, is his full recovery and good health. Ben is a class act, and I hope he recovers 100% from this and resumes his life, both on and off the field. Good luck Ben.

Looks like ESPN will be showing some kind of session tonight on the whole athletes and bikes thing.

Not surprising. Hopefully it's done decent and not a thrown together preachy piece...

Outside the Lines generally does a good job portraying exactly what happened, etc.

I was devastated when I heard the news of Ben's accident this morning. The kid is a class act and truly one of the bright young stars in the NFL. Best wishes twords a full recovery and leading his team in week one. He's a tough guy, you know he'll be ready.
