Roethlisberger named AFC offensive player of the week

Wednesday, November 02, 2011

Gerry Dulac, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who passed for a season-high 365 yards and two touchdowns in a 25-17 victory against the New England Patriots, was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week -- the second time he won the award in October.

Roethlisberger set career highs with 23 completions and 32 pass attempts in the first half, and he went 9-for-12 for 104 yards with one touchdown on third-down pass plays. He finished 36 of 50 and recorded is third 300-yard game of the season and the 18th of his career. His 36 completions and 50 pass attempts were the second-most of his career.

:chuckle: Haha, yeah. I don't know how many people here watch NFLN, but they've been praising Ben all week. Sapp, Deion, Ervin... they've all been talking him up.

Flacco on the other hand... :toofunny:

I know. I don't know how to react. I've been watching all week and the steelers are on there every 15 min. Its weird.
