Thursday, June 15, 2006

PITTSBURGH ? The Steelers released first-year linebackers Malcolm Postell and Matt Farrior, and rookie safety Jamar Landrom from their roster, the team announced today.

Farrior (6-1, 230) re-signed with the Steelers on Feb. 17, 2006, and played for the Frankfurt Galaxy of NFL Europe League. He originally signed with the Steelers as a free agent from Florida in 2005. Farrior was allocated to NFL Europe in 2005, but he injured his shoulder and did not play.

Postell (6-2, 231) signed with the Steelers on Feb. 17, 2006, and was allocated to NFL Europe with the Berlin Thunder. Postell, who was a two-year starter at Pitt, did not play in 2005.

Landrom (6-3, 215) signed with the Steelers on April 24, 2006, as an undrafted rookie free agent from Tennessee State. He participated in the Steelers organized team activities (OTAs), which concluded on June 8.

No big deal...nobody really expected Matt Farrior to make the team and I never even heard of the other two guys.

Can anyone tell me about with how many men the team starts the training camp until there is 53? You know, in general? Till the season starts?
