for those of us that have had the opportunity to attend a steeler game, what is everyones favorite part of any game.

I would say that it is when they play the Renegade video

I don't really have a favorite part. I love the whole experience. Surrounded by the best fans in the NFL and the smell of beer, charcoal and cooked meat....doesn't get any better than that brother. It's all beautiful, from 7 in the morning until 8 at night.

This topic is making the offseason very hard to get through. Not helping section514..lol. I can now go for a cold beer and those Heinz Field nachos.

Since the board is slow and I have tomorrow off and I'm drinking and, well...

Hell, I'll give you my blow-by-blow.

I love the night before, because I'm usually out celebrating another OSU victory, and I know that my football weekend is only half over. I love getting up early Sunday morning, all bright eyed and bushy tailed despite the obligatory hangover, because I know I have a whole day of food, friends and football ahead of me.

I usually get to Dom's tailgate between 9 and 10. I'm 36 now, and know I have a 2 hour drive home after the game, so I pay more attention to the food than to the alcohol nowadays, but I always participate in the "Who's House?" community toast with a shot or 8. It's about as good a tailgate as you will ever find.

Then we start the walk in. I don't care how many times you do it, 3 Rivers or Heinz, playing the Browns or the Cardinals, walking into the stadium is the best bit. Being Steelers fans, we never walk in doubting a victory, we walk in assured of victory. If we are early, a quick jaunt through the Great Hall is always nice. If we procrastinated, it's a scramble to our seats. ALWAYS before kick-off.

Then the game. Hell, it's just ****ing beautiful. With the jumbotron and knowledgeable fans around, it's almost better than DVR'ing the game at home. The whole ambiance of being there never wears out. Then, after we win, it's back to the tailgate to discuss the victory. On the best of days, my buddy who doesn't drink, lives 2 miles from me, and has season tickets drives me home (usually preseason games), on the worst, I'm sober and head out after the traffic dwindles.

There are few things in life as good as a Steelers game.

The Chicago game last season was a picture perfect Steeler game. One regular season game since Heinz opened that I will not soon forget.

Weird game. I sat up in the North bleachers, and was completely soaked by wet snow by the end of the game.

About the same for me. The entire expeience is great. If I had to choose, it would be the Tailgate! Totally fun, even in pre season. But must admit, the colder the weather, the funner the tailgate. The fans seem more into it also when it is colder than heck out.

National anthem, without a doubt, I always get chills hearing the Banner at Heinz Field. I would have to say my second favorite thing, has to be being around thousands of Steelers fans, and just soaking up the moment.

The best thing is pulling up to the stadium in my truck (really there's nothing like watching everyone stare in amazement as you tell them you just drove an all-nighter from Tampa to get to the game), knowing you're about to have the best damn tailgate and basically you're sorrounded by family.

However, this year I won't have my truck at the game (if I get my tickets). It's too small to hold 4 people. But God willing and the creek don't rise by the time my daughter turns 4, I'll have a new STEELERS TRUCK!!!

I have never been to a home game but i been to 4 away games and this may not count but my favorite part is walking thru the parking lot on the way into the stadium. You can hear all the folks jawing off about this or that I dont say to much until the game is over then I let them hear it nothing better than watching so many fans walk out with their head down.

walking back to the parking lot after the Chicago game, so many bears fans took some snow to the face....its was pretty funny, because they were talking trash in the parking lot before the game...they got what was coming to them...

these are the same guys that said we weren't making the playoffs

I tailgate in the parking lot near west end bridge, thats where those guys were

Yeah, but I gotta tell you, that walk back to my car freezing and soaked was NOT pleasant!
