The Associated Press reports Pittsburgh Steelers SS Jamar Landrom, Malcolm Postel and Matt Farrior have been released from the team.
PITTSBURGH ? The Steelers released first-year linebackers Malcolm Postell and Matt Farrior, and rookie safety Jamar Landrom from their roster, the team announced today.
Farrior (6-1, 230) re-signed with the Steelers on Feb. 17, 2006, and played for the Frankfurt Galaxy of NFL Europe League. He originally signed with the Steelers as a free agent out of Florida in 2005. Farrior was allocated to NFL Europe in 2005, but he injured his shoulder and did not play last season.
Postell (6-2, 231) signed with the Steelers on Feb. 17, 2006, and was allocated to NFL Europe with the Berlin Thunder. Postell, who was a two-year starter at Pitt, did not play in 2005.
Landrom (6-3, 215) signed with the Steelers on April 24, 2006, as an undrafted rookie free agent from Tennessee State. He participated in the Steelers organized team activities (OTAs) which concluded last week.
