That actually sucks.....A day without the internet is like a day without breath for many folks. I wonder if they will prorate your bill for cutting you off for that long?

WOW is pretty small potato's if I'm not mistaken...just the west side of Cleveland. Do they give you dial-up as a back-up?

WOW is available in the Detroit area as competition to Comcast...I hear they are growing.

I am moving into a new house and was looking at moving to satellite but I can't find a TV package plus hi speed internet for less then I am getting through comcast...go figure.

Still a minor player compared to TWC, Adelphia and Comcast, though. I'm positive RR offers a free dial-up service and webmail so you are always covered...

Yeah, no doubt, but I'd rather have dial-up then...absolutely no connectivity at all...

He lives within 20 miles of me, the best deal around here is SBC/AT&T. They do have dial up as a back up. Sounds sh*tty but they got in trouble withe PUCO so their customer service is ON IT right now too.

I'd find a different internet provider that offers a 30 day trial period then cancel it when your other one comes back.
