The Steelers made it two down, six rookies to go when they signed linebacker Rian Wallace, their fifth-round draft choice, yesterday.

Wallace received a three-year contract for $1,036,500 with a $111,500 signing bonus and annual salaries of $230,000, $310,000 and $385,000.

The Steelers signed offensive guard Chris Kemoeatu, their sixth-round pick, May 18.

Wallace was an All-Big East linebacker at Temple last season and started 2 1/2 seasons for the Owls. He played at Pottstown High School. He is practicing at inside linebacker, although some scouts believe he also can play on the outside.

"We are trying to keep him where he is more comfortable for right now," said Steelers linebackers coach Keith Butler. "We will see how things go in camp and decide where our personnel is best fit."

The Steelers have six unsigned rookies, including their first four picks, but are among the first teams to get two draft picks signed

WE will have to wait awhile for the first rounders! Since they always wait on one another to see what everyone is getting.

We could need this kid to be an immediate contributor for us, not just on special teams, but if we decide to spell the LB's like we do the DL, he'll be thrust into the job!

Good point Blitz! He will get some snaps for sure!
