man, oh man........seemingly everyone on the team is hobbled, crippled and getting injured....now one of our coaches gets burned bad.
Hope he can recover, it doesn't look good. Best of luck to him.

Wow that's horrible. Burns are one of the most painful things to deal with, the pain is horrible, the smell is horrible, and the survival rate is low, churns my stomach just thinking about it. God be with you Kirby, our prayers will be!
Football is so secondary in a case like this, but in all seriousness, it's like somebody has put a curse on this team.

Prayers to coach Wilson and his family
The hits just keep on coming with this latest incident - a reminder that as much as we have emotionally invested in the Steelers there are much more important matters in life than winning or losing a game

Glad he's going to be ok.
Depending on the severity of the burns he's going to go through a lot of pain (besides the obvious) with all the scrub brushing of the burns.

P-G report this afternoon confirms what Tony posted above
A team source said Wilson has burns on 30 percent to 50 percent of his body, and the injuries are considered serious but not life threatening. No one else was in the house, the source said

Btw, there is a thread about this story at the Denver Broncos forums... Everyone over there wishes this man a speedy recovery.

Usually the 30%-50% range can still kill you because of the toxins and infections, the human body just does not handle burns very well. I'm surprised to see that they, I'm presuming doctors, say that it's not life threatening. Great news!

My thoughts and prayers go out to Kirby and his family...There's time's where football just doesn't matter, and this is one of them. Get well soon, pal.

All trash talking and Ravens/ Steelers crap aside, nothing but thoughts and prayers for him and his family. Godspeed for a full recovery
Heard that most of burns were on his back and back of his head. While healing from burns is hard, I am glad that it was not on his face.

All trash talking and Ravens/ Steelers crap aside, nothing but thoughts and prayers for him and his family. Godspeed for a full recoverythank you.
he is now in a medically induced coma, which suggests to me the pain must be so severe it would put him into life threatening shock.
a very sad and scary situation.

Terrible thing.. I send prayers to him and his family... man I tell you things are just not good for us going into the playoffs this year... I think if we pull this out it will be one of the hardest ones ever... On the Road, everyone including our QB is hurt a little... Essex and Doug with Foster in the middle... and we have two practice squad RB's as back ups... man its gonna be hard thats for sure...\
Again though life is bigger than football and us die hard steeler fans forget that sometimes... so all in all I send all my prayers to kirbys family4
