Ben isn't a pocket passer.
The Steelers have to quit tryingto make him one.
He isn't effective when he isn't mobile, so sit him when he has a bad wheel.
We need a dynamic running back.

What to do?
Design plays that work to Bens strength. Lots of roll outs and drag routes.
Call "x drag, Y corner, Z Go or streak" every set of downs at least once.

trade up in the draft and get Alabama super safety Mark Barron. Trade with Cincy- our #1 for their #1 [pick 16 i think it is, they got it from Raiders]. Throw in a starter if you have to.

After you get Barron, make a deal with the Raiders for Taiwan Jones. Jones reminds one of Tony Dorsett- only better. Raiders got him with 4th round pick last year. They have McFadden and Bush, they'd be willing to deal.

Taiwan Jones is going to be a hall of famer before he is done. He has chris johnson speed - 4.20 in the 40, Great hands, and runs between the tackle like a 250 lb.er

If you get Barron and pair him with Troy, you have the best backfield in the league.
Taiwan Jones should be good for over 1600 yards a year and give you gamebreaking, game changing speed.

Raiders don't have a #1 or #2 this year, they'd trade Taiwan for a #2 and #3.

So we can get Barron by trading up a few spots with cincy and giving up a starter, and get Taiwan for a #2 and #3. We'd still have picks to fix the O Line. and get depth on the D Line.

Barron and Taiwan are both Polamalu type game changers. Teams would have to play their safety's up and that would help Brown and Wallace deep.

Quit running Wr screens, and put some umph behind them with TE screens.

Cant be a pocket passer when you take 2 steps of the 3 back and someone is scratching your buts with their helmet, now can you?lol

So if they want him to pocket pass, they better get a dam good online.

While we're at it, let's trade for Aaron Rodgers, too.

Not a pocket passer? Tell that to New England and Tennessee. Problem is we run long routes while he's in the pocket, makes no sense.

I'm guessing you missed the part where he rallied us back from a 20-6 deficit and sent the game to overtime.

Ben's the last person who should be blamed for today and is still an elite quarterback.

I'm also guessing you played some RB in high school and think that makes you qualified to say whatever nonsense you did in that post.

Get out.

Am I missing something? I actually thought Ben had a good game for what it's worth. Many dropped pass's mixed in with an amazing amount of injury. He brought us back from a 20-6 deficit and a 23-13 deficit to force O.T all in the midst of playing on a bum ankle. Pretty damn impressive.

We'll be fine. Stop wiggin' out, people.

Yes, Ben played well in the second half, he showed zero pain and did great.

You forget a few things. First, it's because of the D that Ben could put 14pts on the board. Second, don't forget:
1) before Cotchery's TD, he was 1 pinky away from his 2nd INT of the night
2) Cotchery's TD was anything but a well designed play. Yes Ben made it happen all by himself but what's the % of success of plays like that? Close to zero
3) Tell me more about our atrocious last series with 1 incomplete pass (too high to Ward), 1 recovered fumble and 2 sacks costing us 11 yds when we needed 15 to put us in FG position to win the game,

Wanna talk about Ben's production in the 1st half?

:jawdrop:

1st round wages, an a pick (or two) to replace Ryan Clark? What did he do wrong?
