Hindsight is always 20/20 yadda yadda. I still thought so that week, though.

I find it funny Cowher said he would have "rested Ben against the Browns," yet he let him play the 15 games of the 2006 season when he was hit by a vehicle prior to the season, had an appendectomy and had 3 concussions during that year.

Ben wasn't even the problem today.. our receivers started the game off by dropping passes.. then when they finally started catching the football, the o-line fell apart.

healthy Ben could have ripped off some runs when there were gaps cars could drive through when pass protection was breaking down.

Playing Ben in those games was the right decision. Either game could have earned us a bye week and home field, you always play for that no matter what. You don't sit down and take the 5/6 seed just because you've already made the playoffs.

Not only that, he played him about 2 weeks after an emergency appendectomy.
