If you could play any position for the Steeler's,.... what would it be and why ?

I think I would like to be a tight end because you get to block, tackle AND catch passes. I also wouldn't mind being a PK, as I have a ton of strength in my legs.

I would definitely want to be a linebacker playing for Dick Lebeau....

I played safety in high school no sense changing now, I love hitting a RB coming out of the backfield or separating a WR from the ball coming across the middle......"No Blood No Foul"

I was a QB.

So I'd play QB. Starting or backup, Ill help the team win. Whatever it takes.

I could also coach. Head coach or on the offense... coordinator, QBs or offensive line.

I played receiver in high school, and one of my best memories was knocking the hell out of a linebacker while blocking on a screen pass. WR it is :)

I don't have any football experience, except once I played with bunch of 5th graders in 1999. It was fun. But if I had to choose, I could fight alongside with the linebackers. Porter, Farrior, etc.

I did pretty well at cornerback in college, I'll stick to it (even though that 4.5 forty speed is long gone).

I think I would like to be a tight end because you get to block, tackle AND catch passes. I also wouldn't mind being a PK, as I have a ton of strength in my legs.

I hope you wouldn't do too much tackling at tight end

Well, I never played football and so I am probably no good at it, I did the cheerleading thing but the Steelers have their fans as cheerleaders so I would be one of the many #1 Steeler Fans and damn proud of it!~!

Me playing for the Steelers? I'm 48 years old. I already wake up with aches and pains. Imagine how I'd feel after playing in a pro football game! Those guys would kill me! I'd take 3rd string QB (4th string if they kept 4 QBs on the roster. That way I could kick back and watch the game on the bench with no chance of having to face those 300 lb monsters. Of course, I'd have to put food coloring in my beer so that everyone thought I was just drinking gator-aid :chug:

Damn tough question. I was a cornerback and safety my entire football life. Midget, jr and sr high, and 14 seasons of touch and tackle leagues. My number was always 27, all because Glen Edwards was 27. Not always my favorite player, but as a kid a Steelers with the same first name as me, Glenn, was really cool I thought. To this day 27 is my number fopr everything.

But, how could you not want to be a Linebacker in the burgh. With our style of defense, damn. I loved Lambert, Ham, and Russel as a kid. But the style of Llyodd and Greene , now that looks like fun. Thats what I want, Steelers OLB.

a shut down corner
 If you were a shutdown corner, we could use you now!

Id be the punter. Big bucks for minutes of work 1 day a week

Seriously, i'd be a linebacker. The toughest of the tough. The image of Jack Lamberts toothless grin is the best recruiting poster for wanna-be tough guys such as myself!!

Wide Receiver. #88 has always been my favorite number thanks to Lynn Swann. I have always followed the #88 car in NASCAR. There are former players that I liked more than Swann but since I predominently played WR I'll have to stick with it in replying to this post.

I would want to play LB just based on the rich tradition of LB's we have had.

i would be a running back. that way all the running back questions going into this season would be silenced

07-10-2006, 11:37 AM
I played DE and TE so I would probably go with one of those positions.

coach now take a lap

I have some experience with QB, so I'd play that in a few years. But if I didn't, I owuld definately want to play linebacker because of the tradition. And I like to hit stuff.
