Hey gang. An old college buddy of mine and Pittsburgh native is creating some really awesome and unique Pittsburgh-related artwork. These collages are perfect for collectors of Pittsburgh swag, and countless hours of research go into each one so that the collage includes the life story of each icon it celebrates. I don't usually use forums to plug stuff, but I have a few of these and just thought more fans should know about them. I realize this may belong in another part of the forum, but I hope it will allowed here so ya'll can check it out. Here are a few samples of his work. You can check out the rest of his stuff at his website http://www.ChristophersCollages.com He has more pieces there, including Tomlin, Roberto Clemente, the Steelers logo, WDVE, JoePa, etc. He's had a tremendous amount of support from the players and coaches. He's received phone calls from Tomlin complimenting his work, and the O-Line even had him design them t-shirts to wear for pre-game warmup at one of the home games this season. Anyway, just thought this was something worth spreading the word about. Give it a look!

I agree, which is why I posted this here. Not just the guy happens to be a friend of mine, but because I'm genuinely REALLY impressed with his work.

If you go to his site and click on the thumnails, it brings up a cool little tool that magnifies sections so that you can see all the details. Really pretty amazing if you ask me. :tt03:

For the record, I was hoping this could hang around here for awhile. Just because, for the most part, the Art forum is dead. I apologize though....didn't mean to offend anyone.

You know what, that's fine. It can hang around here, and no, I don't think you offended anyone

Good luck to your friend, he's supremely talented.

Thanks man! I think so too! I'm proud of the guy. He's an engineer, and next week he's going part-time at his "day-job" so that he can focus on his art career. That takes some serious stones, but I think he has the talent to do big things. I appreciate you allowing this post to stay here amongst the traffic, and I'm certain he does too!

Wow. You simply must go to the webpage and zoom in on some of the artwork. It's extraordinary how much fine detail goes into these photos.

In upwards of 70 hours, according to the website. All I can say is :jawdrop:

These are really cool and well thought out. How bout a Roger Goodell with stuff like 'Mrs. Brady', 'Flag Football', and 'PAY YOUR FINES!!'

Hahahaha.....yea, it could be made up exclusively of fines with Harrison's name on all of them. :chuckle:
