including phillies ryan howard heres the linup from postgazette.com. no one really of note especially looking at who WONT be in it:

The rest of tonight's field is set to include: Berkman (24 homers), Florida's Miguel Cabrera (15) and the Mets' David Wright (20) for the NL plus American League stars David Ortiz of Boston (the major-league leader with 31), Toronto's Troy Glaus (23) and the Chicago White Sox's Jermaine Dye (24). If you're looking to handicap that field, Ortiz has bashed six homers in the past week since accepting a Derby invite -- he wants to raise charity money for a heart clinic in his native Dominican Republic -- and Dye has bashed four.

Contrast that list to the slugging All-Stars present in PNC Park tonight, but spectating only: the White Sox's Jim Thome (30), Pujols, Washington's Alfonso Soriano (27), Lee (26), the Mets' Carlos Beltran (25), the White Sox's Paul Konerko (21), Toronto's Vernon Wells (21), Bay (21), Atlanta's Andruw Jones (20), the Yankees' Alex Rodriguez (19) and the Angels' Vladimir Guerrero (18).

i noticed nl is wearing yellow and al wearing black. do they always give the teams the jersey colors of the host team or is this something new?

oh and jason bay will be batting cleanup (not as a favor but probably so they can yank him early and pinch hit for him)

really... how come the NL gets the cool pirate looking black jerseys and the AL is stuck with those crappy yellow ones? doesnt seem right. (AL would probably win in pink tutus)

very surreal to see arod and jeter in pirates (AL) jerseys. and the fans at the park, fully embracing the culture of losing, boo jeter when he steps in the cage

watching the highlights of old HR derbys...the uniforms are definitely in the hosting team's colors....and i LOVE those black uniforms...too bad they are wasted on the American Leaguers...

If the pitches were coming in fatser I would give him a good chance to put a couple in there.

Excellent point....plus its very damp and muggy in the Burgh tonight...not optimal for ball flight....

If the pitches were coming in fatser I would give him a good chance to put a couple in there.only 440' to the river and only 1 has been hit there in the history of the park. big papi said he'd hit a couple. i think he can do it.
