Rd 1 Gabe Rivera DT... tragic accident (passed on Marino, Ken OBrien and Darrell Green)
Rd 2 Wayne Capers WR... WHO? (passed Bill Pickel, Albert Lewis and Dave Duerson)
Rd 3 Todd Seabaugh LB... See Rd 2! (passed on Charles Mann.. nuff said)
Rd 4 Bo Scott Metcalf DB... ??? :doh: (passed Greg Townsend and Riki Ellison)
Rd 5 Paul Skansi WR... I remember Skansi, as a Seahawk!
Rd 5 Gregg Garrity WR... have his rookie card. yay...
Rd 6 Eric Williams DB... vague memory on him (passed on Reggie Roby)
Rd 7 Mark Kirchner G... :noidea: (passed on Gary Kubiak)
Rd 8 Harry Odom RB... OMG (passes on Richard Dent, Earnest Jackson and Ronnie Lippett)
Rd 8 Craig Dunaway TE... :banging: (passed Mark Clayton)

Worked 12 hours on an hour of sleep and now I've got to tough it out until 8pm before I can head to bed. It's going to be a bad day :chuckle:

Yeah, you pass on Marino when he played in your backyard. Rimmington, Jeffcoat, Darrel Green were all there too.

Yeah, '83 was not our finest hour. People talk about how well the Steelers draft as though it's an every year thing, but the reality is that we seem to have regularly spaced out über-drafts. Most years we're just solid, but we also have regularly spaced crap drafts with just one good player (or even none). Check out 2008, 1997 or 1988 vs. 2007, 2002, and 1992. There might be better examples of both the boom and bust years. 1974 and of course 1983 come to mind.
