The Pittsburgh Steelers got eliminated from the playoffs by the Denver Broncos last year. The bright side is they went 12 - 4. A very dark point of the Steel Curtain is that WR Mike Wallace will become a restricted free agent. Now going into a free agency with several questions a big one is what will they do to ful-fill their needs. Here is a article discussing this topic http://www.draftnasty.com/football/articles/pittsburgh-steelers-2012-team-needs/ enjoy.

Good summary. I liked the key note's:
QB Ben Roethlisberger is just 3,421 passing yards shy of reaching the 30,000-yard plateau in his career
The Steelers finished 10th in passing yards per game (253.4)
The team's turnover ratio (-13) ranked 29th in the NFL
Despite making just one start, former Bowie State RB Isaac Redman ran for nearly 500 yards (479) and averaged 4.4 yards per carry
14-year veteran WR Hines Ward averaged a career-low 8.3 yards per catch on his 46 receptions in 2011
3rd-year LB Lawrence Timmons finished 3rd on the team in tackles (94 tackles, 2 QB Sacks)
OLBs LaMarr Woodley and James Harrison combined for 18 sacks despite missing 11 games collectively
The Steelers own the 24th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft

The thing that stands out there is the turnover differential which was terrible. Polamalu had a down year in that category which is a big reason, and Harrison was injured and he usually gets several also. Other than that the rest of the team needs to step up. The defense has a lot of good players that do not force turnovers. I think Sylvester would help that. The other thing is that while the offense was the 10th passing offense it produced 30 fewer touchdowns than the Packers passing offense on only a dozen fewer attempts. Need the receiving corps to step up! Plays need to be designed for Miller!
