Glad RGIII isn't going to Cleveland and kind of happy for my Skins fans friends. Griffith sounds like a good kid. Didn't want him wearing Browns colors next year and beyond.

Yeah glad they don't play in our conference or division but RGIII sounds like a good kid and there's always the possibility he could turn into the franchise QB the Browns lack. I think the Skins will come to regret the deal though. That's a lot ot give up. He's not Luck./

It's kind of a toss-up: What's the surest way to guarantee someone's career is going to suck? Getting drafted by Cleveland, or getting drafted by Washington? I think he stands a better chance in DC. :noidea:

i cant see him ever being an elite QB and Washington just bet there next for seasons on him. big mistake in my mind.

This could cripple the franchise for years!

Danny Snyder strikes again:chuckle:

Great deal for the Rams and it keeps Griffin away from the Browns

Now Snyder needs to further cripple the Redskins by signing Peyton to mentor RG III

Wow...that sounds like a stupid decision. Wait until next year and the year after when they have no one to look forward to drafting. Plus, there's NO guarantee this guy's going to be that good, if good at all. Brady Quinn? Jamarcus Russell anyone? They were all "sure thing's" too.

it's not quite as horrible as it sounds. on paper it reads like they gave up 3 1st rd picks. actually they are trading this years first, so really what they gave up is ....
2012 - 2nd
2013 - 1st
2014 - 1st

so thats 2 first and a 2nd to move up 4 spots ... :bonk:

Still pretty ridiculous. I'm happy for the Rams. My father in laws a big Rams fan. They didn't need a QB anyway, so really, they are only moving behind 3 teams that might take the guy they want. They will probably lose the tackle they covet, but having a bad teams 1st Rd pick for the next 3 drafts isn't all bad. The Rams could easily have 5 top 10 picks in the next 3 drafts.

I agree with the consensus so far that the Rams won big. I just didn't want the Browns getting RGIII because one I think he will be a very good NFL QB and two he seems like an easy guy to like. I like hating our opponents i.e. Ray Lewis etc.

they'll definitely lose out on kalil , most likely will take blackmon a much needed receiver , or trade back a few more spots for reiff or martin.

Yeah. I agree, they'll take Blackmon now. He looks to be the next Calvin Johnson. This trade was made possible by the new rookie salary cap. They've wanted to make a similar move a few times but nobody was willing to move up to grab someone they'd have to pay $50M for.

No way he's the next Calvin Johnson. He just doesn't have that size.

alright. I may have exaggerated a bit. He looks like he'll be very good and at 6'1, 210 lbs., he's a pretty decent sized receiver. I'd love to have him.
Calvin Johnson is in a class all his own.
