OK, I know there are some similar threads already, but I had to ask you guys myself. I'm going to be moving back to Mongolia in a month. And I'll be heading out to the East Coast with a moving truck.

I'm planning to stop by the Great Burgh for a day. Can't do more than that. So I was just wondering if you guys can tell me where to stop, where to go, what to see, and where can I find some nice deals in or around the town. I won't have a whole lot of money to spend, because this whole moving process costs a fortune. I won't be very mobile because of the moving truck, so considering that and the short period of time that I'll have if you guys can help me I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE that.

Be sure to ride at least one of the inclines. Station Square is close by there as well and it's got Hometown Sports which has a ton of Steelers stuff. Also the main concourse of the place is the old P&LERR station so that is cool to look through on the inside. Be sure to get a look at the Bessemer converter and Blast Furnace on display. You can't really miss them, they are both about 30 feet high and on display. Do a search for "Things to do in the 'burgh" or somethin to that extent to find the past threads on the topic. Good luck and have fun man! Will you still be able to get online in Mongolia to participate in the forum? I hope so. Peace.

HbXL06 has some great ideas for a day trip to the Burgh, SteelersMongol. There are a lot of really nice shops in Station Square and Hometown Sports is a great place bo purchase Steelers gear, though it is a little pricey. I would have suggested a ride into downtown Pittsburgh to go to the Honus Wagner shop which is chock full of Steelers gear, but getting a moving truck through downtown and finding a place to park could be a nightmare. At least at Station Square, you won't have a problem parking. As Hb said - be sure to take in one of the inclines which are directly across from Station Square and when you get off the incline at the top, take in the absolutely gorgeous view of the city from Mt. Washington which overlooks the city and the rivers. If you have a little extra time, take in a river cruise on one of the Gateway Clipper liners which will bring you up close and personal with both Heinz Field and PNC Park. I've posted the link below for more info. Have a great time and be safe in your travels.

I want you in the da Burgh man. I want you to see and experience the great city that hosts a great football team. Hell, I want to be in da Burgh too but I do not get there near as often as needed.
