As expected, Tomlin, Colbert show up at Michigan, and bring Coach Mitch along for look at small, fierce NT Mike Martin.
tomlin and colbert sure are racking up the frequent flyer miles. they should do their due diligence and follow where mannings van and private jets are going or atleast be "watching free agent frenzy" on NFLN

i guess it's obvious as day we're looking to draft a NT, we're giving a lot of them good looks this offseason.

the bright side of this draft is that there are a lot of good candidates. doesn't bother me that poe will be unavailable at 24, we may be looking to draft someone who may even be a better fit on our defense at rounds 2-3

btw i wouldn't say mike martin is small. 6'2 and 307, and looks like he still has room to grow into his frame

Martin is an energizer bunny. But, I think a 1 gap DT that disrupts things by getting upfield. Not a 2-gap NT type player. Reminds me a bit of Trevor Laws.

I wonder if they had a look at TE Kevin Koger while at the pro day? mid to late round pickup of a guy that can block and catch the ball well, but didnt see it much in the spread offense.

Well we know at least one team that wont be prepared for it.
Cause they didn't feel the need to practice against it. :chuckle:
