I'm glad you posted this topic, Lucky. I was so caught up in talking about Ben and his video that I forgot that my boss wanted me to ask everyone here if anyone knows what other festivities are going on in Pittsburgh before the concert. He said the concert doesn't start until 6:00 PM, they're going to be in Pittsburgh all day, and he said that all the websites he's looked at say that the festivities are yet "to be determined."

So, does anyone know what those festivities may be so he can check them out?

All I know.......

Some Steeler players (not sure what players in particular) and a video tribute to the team's 2005 Championship Season will be shown. They are also showing the Steelers' fifth World Championship Column (which will eventually be on display in the Coca-Cola Great Hall) and the team's Super Bowl XL Trophy (which will be on display at Heinz Field.)

Sorry, I know it's not much info, but that's all I'm aware of. If I find out more I will post in this thread.

I'll be there too!!! I'll be wearing # 86 and coming from Columbus. We are planning of making a day of it too! Anybody have any suggestions on where to park?? I've been to Pittsburgh a number of times, we are originally from Youngstown - Warren. I was just wondering if there was parking in the big parking lot or tailgating or what?? Well, see you at the show...it should almost feel like game atmosphere!!

one of the local radio DJs said he was disappointed by the Steelers portion of the concert. I know it was short and sweet but I thought it was awesome. the videos gave me chills...seeing the guys celebrating after the XL win, especially since they were playing "We Are the Champions" and there were Terrible Towels and cheering everywhere.

We had a great time. Bon Jovi is a great performer. I would liked to have seen a few more players there, but it was still a good experiece and it was awesome to see Heinz field for the first time...wish it was for a game though. Anyway, good music, good friends, lots of fans...a few idiots getting stupid in the pit, where we were, but overall.....fun!
