Doubt he'll be too rusty after training camp and preseason.

But it'll be good to see him get knocked on his ass a few times.

Oh yeah, think I may have to check that one out and maybe make a road trip to Denver!

Then we better blitz a whole hell of a lot better than we did last year.................

Is Denver not allowed to come to Pittsburgh, why do we always have to go there? Well hopefully we start out this year totally different from the last. Who knows what we are up against, this may be Manning's best year (the potential with a new team is always there) or he could be really rusty. IMO we have been making the playoffs and IMO the SB against the Packers, in spite of things. The defense the last couple of years has been good but not great, the O line is terrible and the offense in general wasn't much better. Looking at our opponents list, there is no room for that this year. IMO this team will come out and play like it's all on the line and go 12-4/13-3 or they will play like they did last year and go 8-8.

I hope the Steelers are stronger at CB this year because Manning is a heck of alot better than Tebow and we all know how our CBs did last time we played Denver!

Conspiracy theory: Goodell wants Peyton to star in his first game. Let him face a secondary who will be missing their starting free safety....

I agree with a earlier poster - couldn't Denver come to Pittsburgh to play a game ?

When was the last time Denver came here? 2006? We went there in 2009 now again in 2012. Ohwell.

this wouldnt matter if denver didnt get peyton. on a positive note KC finally comes here for like the 2nd time in 30 years, instead of us going to arrowhead.

theres actually some convoluted formula that dictates which of these games are home and which ones are away. its not arbitrarily made up by roger goodell.

The guy had a serious career threatening neck injury and he's playing his first game back against the Steeler's defense. He's going to be nervous. Put the Fear in him early.

I'm glad we're playing the Broncos in Denver week one. We get a road game against a team that will be far from full speed. Manning will NOT be playing at 100%.

This will be Mannings first time playing at "game" speed in a LONG time. This will be the Broncos first game as an offense together. I don't think it will be a lay down, however... I think it's a great opportunity to win a road game.

This time we will be ready for the deep ball. Should be a good game but I like our odds. We have played Peyton pretty well in the past. Two road openers in a row though huh.

At least it will be early in the season before (and if) Manning gets his groove back.

Goodell did this because he knows he can suspend Harrison for half the season if he even breathes on Manning.I sincerely hope Woodley and Harrison are both healthy heading into the season. That is the only reason that we got Tebowed was because of players playing at half strength and speed due to their injuries. It would have been a good game plan only if we had a decent pass rush against Tebow. But it didn't happen. Payback is a bitch.

Was going to post this last year prior to the Steeler/ 49er game. It,s never good for an East Coast team to go to the West Coast and play a game that starts at 8:30 PM and ends around midnight. Granted this will end maybe by 11:00. Unless Denver has a couple of strange power outages. :coffee: BS scheduling.

The Steelers got the Goodell screw over, first game in Denver, back home to face the Jets, then back on a plane to the West coast to face the Raiders. From there a 4th week Bye, could "Sir" Roger screw the Steelers more, don't answer that! :banging: : pissed:
