Same thing as yesterday that Tony posted..

Steelers have 6 picks remaining

I think we address NT, more backers, maybe a safety?

and then fill in BPA

just going off espn

top remaining players

1) Bobby Massie- what happen to this guy? how is he still there in round 4?
2) Lamar Miller RB - THE U
3) Terrell Manning LB NC State
4) James Brown Guard -Troy
5) Ronnell Lewis LB - Oklahoma
6) Antonio Allen Safety- South Carolina
7) Brandon Washington Guard THE U
8) Jared Crick DT- Nebraska - Can he play NT?
9) Zebrie Sanders T- Florida State
10) Alameda Ta'mu DT- Washington

seems like if avaliable the fans would be happy with Ta'mu in round 4.

i would hope Josh Chapman in the 4th would interest the Steelers.

And some others I hope they consider: *guys I would love

Cyrus Gray RB Texas A+M
Robert Turbin RB Utah State
Chris Rainey RB-WR-KR-PR Florida* lots of slashes in his positions. Hey, Slash!
Trenton Robinson FS Michigan State*
Markelle Martin S OSU*
Aaron Henry S Wisconsin
Greg Childs WR Arkansas*
Keshawn Martin WR Michigan State
Toney Clemons WR Colorado
Hebron Fangupo NT BYU
Julian Miller, OLB West Virginia
Jerrell Harris ILB Alabama
Adrien Cole, ILB, Louisiana Tech
Keith Tandy, CB, West Virginia
Tim Fugger OLB, Vanderbilt
Kourtnei Brown OLB Clemson

good late picks:
Nicolas Jean Baptiste NT, Baylor
Ishmaa’ily Kitchen Kent State

And maybe the Steal of the draft??????????????????????????????????????????

Michael Smith, RB, Utah State:

A back with exceptional upper-body strength, Smith made a living coming off the bench to spell Robert Turbin at Utah State. NFL.com's Chad Reuter spoke of Smith's outstanding pro day -- he timed at 4.33 in the 40-yard dash with a 40 1/2-inch vertical jump -- as part of an argument for Smith finding a home in the fourth or fifth round. Smith is overlooked because his touches were reduced as a senior, but he averaged more than seven yards per carry over his career. Smith possesses exceptional burst and exploded in December's Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, with 157 yards on 12 carries, two for scores.

Set-Man

I am hoping a NT and back. Everything else would be BPA. Maybe some late CB choices to throw in the mix.
Chapman
Michael Smith would both be great choices

Cornerback:

greg childs--- steallllllll

chris rainey-- speed to burn

dennard- from neb...

if we got any of them, i would be super pumped today.

maybe if burfict from zona state

problem with a few of them is off the field troubles... or injuries..

all of them have question marks.. also all could been first 2nd round picks.

at this point in the draft, drafting guys that have 1st 2nd round talent is always a major plus

WR -Greg Childs, and a lot more minus Keshawn Martin who just was picked in the 4th by Houston. (early?)
RB -Cyrus Gray, Chris Rainey
S -Trenton Robinson, Markelle Martin

Steeler's remaining picks
159,231,240,246,248 assuming no more trades

I don't think we need to address WR today. I'd be okay with a flyer in the 7th since we have 4 of those, but I'd rather see our 7th round flyers be taken on: Kicker, QB, OL, LB, DB, DL, FB

Round 5 we have a chance to grab a nice safety, cornerback, or another linebacker. DeQuan Menzie was someone I had in mind but the Chiefs just grabbed him. George Iloka, Markelle Martin, or Chase Minnifield would be very welcome selections right now. We could grab another guard or linebacker too -- or this might be about the right time to take a flyer on Burfict.

But I think we could get him in the 7th if we wanted to - and I'm not sure we need to with or without Mike Wallace, but especially with Mike Wallace. (Without Wallace, I think Sanders gives us as much anyways opposite Antonio brown, Cotchery filling in nice in the slot, plus a bunch of young guys we already have, and we can grab some UDFAs or veteran free agents for the rest. )

Russ Lande, The Sporting News: DeCastro. The brass debates between Washington NT Alameda Ta'amu and DeCastro, but in the end goes with the safer choice in DeCastro.

No I guess there is not one more steal for the Steelers as

Tommy Streeter just got picked by the Ravens. That one hurts. He literally could be one of the best WRs in the game in a few years. That would have been the ultimate steal for the Stealers in our draft full of steals.

I don't know about a steal but it couldn't hurt to have "some youth" at QB (back up) for the future.

Day three of the draft

The Steelers finished off the draft today by taking six more players, bringing their total to nine in the draft.

Pittsburgh began the day by trading a fourth and sixth round pick to Washington to select nose tackle Alameda Ta'amu.

Next came Florida RB/WB Chris Rainey, Colorado WR Toney Clemons, Oregon TE David Paulson, Texas A&M CB Terrence Frederick and SMU G Kelvin Beachum Jr.

In the hours following the draft, the team signed 12 rookie free agents. Included in that list were Pitt LB Brandon Lindsey, Duquesne WR Connor Dixon, punter Drew Butler of Georgia, CB Terry Carter of Louisiana Tech, safety Robert Golden of Arizona, defensive end Ikponmwosa Igbinosun of Southern Connecticut, offensive lineman Ryan Lee of Furman, WR Marquis Maze of Alabama, placekicker Grant Ressel of Missouri, LB Adrian Robinson of Temple, OT Desmond Stapleton of Rutgers and DE Jake Stoller of Yale.

I loved the move up to get Ta'amu. He's a big nose tackle who fits right into their defense as a guy who can occupy two interior linemen and keep the inside linebackers clean.

Rainey should also be able to make this team as a PR/KR while also offering competition for a fifth WR spot and change-of-pace running back.

Clemons has an outside shot to make it as well if he proves he can play special teams and be the fifth wideout.
