Alright we`ve seen all kinds of polls about LB, Qbs , Fav players. How about the top 5 Steelers receivers of all time? I think everyone would probably agree that the top three are Ward, Swann and Stalworth in some order, but you let us know.

Mine are: 1. John Stallworth
2. Hines Ward
3. Lynn Swann
4. Loius Lipps
5. Yancey Thigpen I also like Frank Lewis and Jim Smith.

This might surprise some, but here's mine,

1. John Stallworth
2. Lynn Swann
3. Hines Ward
4. Buddy Dial
5. Louis Lipps

The reason for Dial above Lipps, is that he actually has more 1,000 yard seasons than Lipps and he did it in five years back in '59-'63 . Good enough in my book. Honorable mention: Elbie Nickel only cause he was more consistent in his ten years than outstanding, but his numbers will hold up to all these guys.

At least everyone can agree on most of the top four. That fifth will be a personal fav. As for mine, Cleve, I grew up with those McDonald's special glasses and special edition I.C. cans would always be around with team pics. I just didn't know who some of the older players were so I felt as a fan I should take some time to learn a little. Think thats why I like this board so much too. Good mix of young and old.

Don't worry still got plenty of love for Weegie, glad he got a mention somehow, but he didn't get enough yards in a career to match some of these guys in one season. Since you're the "new guy" LIG, care to give a little insight to why Frank? Lewis at 5? Saw that and had to figure some good story would be the reason.

ICC I have everyone of the MCDonalds glasses and the Eat and Park series, Also I have about 30 different Steelers cans and 14 diff Pirates. Each HOF IC can I bought a case.

Frank Lewis , I guess as far as first round draft picks go he would be considered a bust by todays standards, especially considering some of the other picks we had in 71`. But as a youngster I remember a catch he had the season of our first Superbowl victory that help seal our playoff berth. As a kid I was kind of in awe. Plus the fifth spot was kinda up for grabs as far as I was concerned. Yancy, Lewis, and others Maybe Ronnie Shanklin.

My order would be.......

1.Stallworth (Hands down the best we've had!!)

2.Ward (Not far behind #1 adds more to the position, blocking etc.)

3.Thigpen (Imagine if he had better Qb throwing to him)

4.Swann (In my opinion, Stallworth on the field made him, and his few and far between tough catches he made in big games.)

5.Lipps (Same Qb situation as Yancey)
