There's your fine. Arguable what else we'll see from Goodell. Hopefully once we get Harrison back he isn't chastised: :banging:

He better goddam get fined for that crap. Blatant, malicious, and unnecessary. If Harrison had made that same hit, das Kommisar would have ordered his execution.

Harrison would have had a multi game suspension and a fine of $50k+.

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie: “$21,000? I ain’t even got that”

Eagles cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie says he can’t afford the $21,000 fine the NFL gave him for a hit on Steelers quarterback Byron Leftwich last week.

“Twenty-one thousand. I ain’t even got that,” Rodgers-Cromartie said with a chuckle.

Fortunately for Rodgers-Cromartie, he doesn’t have to have the $21,000 on him. It will be deducted from future paychecks.

Rodgers-Cromartie has insisted that there was nothing dirty about his hit on Leftwich, but he also conceded today that he needs to learn from it to avoid such fines in the future.

“I won’t hit him no more, I’ll tell you that much,” Rodgers-Cromartie said. “It’s not even a vicious hit . . . shoot, he got up right from it. I mean, I’ll say I left my feet. I can understand that. I can understand a fine coming. . . . I wouldn’t do it again. In place, you never know. It’s football. You have to keep playing. Play through it.”

Unless he wants to play for free, Rodgers-Cromartie has to find a way to keep playing without delivering hits like the one on Leftwich.

How long has Rodgers-Cromartie been with the NFL? Because I thought I heard the announcers even say it was a blatant illegal hit not to be tolerated and that he's been there long enough to know better. If he's been with the NFL for at least 3 years, I wonder what he does with his money?...

I agree. If it was Harrison everyone would be freaking out, saying "Fine him, suspend him!" blah, blah, blah.

At least we had one thing in our favor. Remember the Ravens hit on Ward that drew NO flag, NO penalty, and No fine? I'd like to see those days come to an end. The NFL needs to be equal with the punishments.

That's his cousin, Antonio Cromartie of the Jets.

Harrison would've obviously gotten worse treatment because he's a repeat offender. The rules are pretty clear about that, so it's not exactly hypocrisy. The next time D R-C does the same thing, his fine will be greater too.

ok now that repeat offender bull sh** needs to be looked at too because some of that crap called on him in 2010 was fffing pathetic....

Namely the hit on Brees on Halloween and that god awful flag for when he executed a perfect form tackle on Fitzpatrick....

The fffing ref was reaching for the flag before he even hit Fitzpatrick

You shouldn't be labeled a repeat offender for crap calls like that

Not to mention how long did James play clean before the Colt hit that he was suspended for??

Give me a break.....and to top it off James had to miss games last year because that SOB from the Texans lunged at him with his helmet and broke his bone around the eye

HEIL GOODELL!

I wasn't aware of this.

GoFor7: I think you need to stop. If I fully understood German I would probably appreciate your posts. Yes I'm being lazy about it and not using Google translate but that requires another FF tab and bandwidth.

Steel Bus: I fully agree! Like I've said, the NFL needs to be equal in their punishment. The Ward hit + Harrison's eye injury honestly piss me off :banging:

They can reason all they want....:blah: ....but I can clearly see BIAS AGAINST the Steelers.

Sorry, can't help it. Der Kommissar is quite the authoritarian if you haven't noticed. He speaks however he wants and fines James Harrison at will.

Yeah, I'm over it, lol!

This is true. I remember back in 05 when Rodger never crossed my mind. Now the Bas%$^ is slowly killing a perfectly good sport.

By the terms of present football it was uncalled for. A couple years ago no one would have said anything.........
