see Manning can hit his receivers. He doesnt miss wide open receivers.
This is like shooting fish in a barrel for Peyton

Defense is just trying to make them overconfident. Its a plan!

I mean is the D just that bad or is Denver just that good. Would Denver do this against Baltimore's D?

We have no pass rush. Cant get by any of the Denver O linemen.

Drizztbob
09-09-2012, 10:22 PM
Without Clark and Harrison, there is NO pass rush threat on manning=a Steeler loss.

CBs and O-line still weak

Great, interferance call. It's over folks.

AndyWitmyer
09-09-2012, 10:23 PM
Pass interference........really? Best hope is to hold them to 3. It's obvious our D can't force a turnover

Both our "D", and our "O" looked terrible.
Manning and his "O" made Ben and our "O" look sluggish -to say the least.
And our "D" couldn't react fast enough like they used too., right now anyways?.
mmm.

Bullshit call.

We can hold them to 3. We'll need an epic old-school Ben drive to win this.

Good! Now let's score a TD!

Losing Gilbert and Foster didn't help the offense either...

Manning won't even have to have a shower or get his uniform washed.

AndyWitmyer
09-09-2012, 10:26 PM
This isn't impossible. Yeah, we'll probably lose this. But Ben and the Offense need to step up and play their very best. We've seen it before it can happen...but will it? A kickoff return would also be good...

Oh here we go with the Peyton lovefest. Peyton has cured cancer and feeds the homeless in his spare time. Just shut up Al and Cris. After the game, maybe all three of you can get a room together

Just like last year. It is all up to Ben to win the game. Once again, it is a one man team. This is getting really old.

i know it's early in the season but being 0-1 and sharing the basement with the clowns and most likely the bungals sucks

Our offense is playing it's heart out - and running time off the clock, playing a wonderful mixture of ground and air - but Peyton Manning's just like "Yeah, take all the time off the clock you want...once we get the ball back, we'll just score in a minute or two anyway."

This post sums it all up. The offense dominated time of possession and put points on the board, and our defense allowed Manning and the Broncos offense to counter in less than half the amount of time we did.

At this point i'm just hoping this was the result of not having Clark in coverage, and Harrison in Manning's face.

After taking the night to have nightmares about a 500 season, I realize that 19 points (should have been 23) was enough to beat this team, and most teams in the NFL, if the defense could put up even a wet paper bag defense.

There is no way 2 players, even those as skilled as Harrison and Clark, would make such a devastating difference to an entire starting squad. Our line brought ZERO pressure on Manning. I think he was hit 3 times ALL GAME. This is a problem. Obviously it starts with the line and rushing linebackers, but finishes with our porous secondary. Ike Taylor as usual looked like garbage, AGAIN after he even requested to get lined up with the same idiot that made him such a goat last year. Lewis and Allen looked equally inept getting totally schooled by Manning's play calling.

Troy was trying to do EVERYTHING himself. He looked like the only player on defense either not winded or playing with heart and I don't know which is worse.

Either way, Manning just owned us last night. I pray to God Sanchez doesn't do the same next week.

I know it seems far-fetched, but I honestly believe the lack of Clark ALONE contributed heavily to our loss. Why do I think that?

It's already difficult for a starting defense to play their entire first game in Denver. In that altitude. All-around tough game for us.
