Did anyone see the KDKA video where the 7 year old kid got to carry Ben's shoulder pads up the hill and into the locker room? I should have copied the link, sorry!
But it was cool the way Ben talked to him and just interacted with the kid.
That's not just class....THAT'S STEELERS CLASS!!!!

BEN IS TOO SMART FOR HIS AGE (WELL EXCEPT THAT SILLY NO-HELMET-INCIDENT). HE WASN'T JUST THINKING OF HIMSELF, HE ALSO WENT UP TROY HAD HIM SIGN ON A MINI HELMET. HOW GREAT CAN HE BE. THAT KID IS GOING TO TOWN! I WISH HIM WELL.

I guess it's just a shame for my daughter, she's only 1 year old and can barely carry her own sippy cup.
Maybe in a few more years, as I plan for my trip to Canton for The Bus' induction, I can take a little extra time and stay in Latrobe.
I wonder if one of the players would let her carry their stuff (at least up to the door of the locker room)!

I saw the video on KDKA and it was so touching to watch this big man make this little guy's day! Little Zach was a little star that afternoon and just seeing his face light up when Ben asked him to carry his pads really made my day! :bouncy:

the contest is new this year...in previous years a couple of players would come over to the Steelers Experience registration tent to sign autographs for the kids but it just got too chaotic. this year whenever a kid is registered for the Experience they are also entered into the drawing to help one of the players with their equipment...yesterday was the first day and it seemed like it was a big hit
I dont know if anyone heard about this (or if it was already posted...sorry if it was!) on Sunday Ben was signing autographs for the fans and there was this little boy that was being pushed up against the fence so Ben pulled him out and let him carry his stuff...thought that was really cool of him, I'm sure it made the little boy's day (or year lol) as well

A very cool and classy thing to do by Ben. I think this accident of Bens will prove to be a very good thing for Ben in the long run. I don't think he'll take football for granted now and will work even harder to become the best player he can be.
