These so called "experts" stating......

1) How are we going to survive minus Randle El?

2) How are we going to survive minus Jerome Bettis?

3) How are we going to survive the loss of Kimo?

I'm tired of hearing it. How did we survive when we lost Plaxico Burress damnit? We picked it up and won a Super Bowl with what we had while adding on Cedrick the Entertainer.

How will we EVER survive losing Randle El? Do we not have others on this roster (WR's) who can throw a football damnit? Eitherway, we have a QB who's learning more and more year after year. He's more than capable of throwing the rock.

Losing JB. The leadership that JB brought to this team can NEVER be replaced. He's one in a million, but that doesn't mean others (more than one) can't step up in his place and fill the role of a leader. 31 other teams in the NFL never had a leader such as JB. We were damn fortunate, but that doesn't mean we are going to melt since JB and Kimo are gone.

I'm tired of reading what the national media has to spew. Let's just prove them wrong as we did last season. Is it easy to repeat? Hell no. It's not supposed to be!! That doesn't mean we can't do it. Screw past records and stats.

This is a horrible thread I know. I apologize, but I need to vent.

Let's get it on already!

I'm now leaving for training camp. You all take care and GO STEELERS!!!!!!!!!!!

I totally agree, I really get sick of it as well
Randle el was a good guy but not the Offense
Bettis was a great guy but had 400 yards or so
Kimo was a great guy but wasent the defense
Hope was good guy as well but missed alot.

Steelers will survive and THUMP...no doubt

Well you have lots of fun at training camp. Trust me I wish I was there. I know what you are saying and I hear you bro. The "so called experts" drive me nuts as well.

Granted that El was a great punt returner and was very good at the trick plays. But he is replaceable. They act like we lost Jerry Rice as a reciever. I loved El but he wasn't a number 2 WR. He is better suited for the slot. But with Washington and Holmes. I think we will be fine. Plus with Wilson as the number 2. I'm sure he can match 35 catches and 1 TD.

You can never replace a Jerome Bettis. His value spoke for itself. But his overall production on the field can be matched. I think Jerome rushed for 350+ yards and 9 TD's. A healthy Staley can match that.

Kimo was getting up there but still was good. But Brett Keisel is younger and a much better pass rusher. So we will be fine.

Plax that was just a joke.

The bottom line the Steelers will never be the sexy pick to win it all. That belongs to the Colts and I'm sure the Colts will fall short again like every year. We have a great shot to repeat just as long this team doesn't lose any of the key players to injury.

I agree also. And even more when I hear how Ben is going to react to his first hit! HE RAN INTO A CAR WITH his motorcycle! If he can survive that, he can survive a hit on the football field! And the Number 1 thing that I'm tired oif hearing about is, Cowher retiring after the season!
